I have a different baby today.. advice needed!!

So my daughter woke up this morning at 8 am (a little later than normal-no big deal).   But ever since she woke up she has been really mopey almost.  She would whine more than normal and then keep laying down.  She would play, then just lay down.  She didnt eat normally today either.  I gave her her favorite foods and she barely ate any of it.  Also, after waking up at 8, we left for the grocery store at 9:30 and she was falling asleep within seconds of being in the car!  She was extra tired all day.

I checked her temp and it was normal.  She had normal diapers today as well.  I thought maybe its a growth spurt thats just wearing her out??  I dont really know.  I feel weird calling the doctor bc she really doesnt have any "sick" symptoms.  If she is like this tomorrow, I will most likely call.  I tried feeding her dinner, she ate a little, drank some of her milk then kept rubbing her eyes.  So at 6:30 (way earlier than norm)  i brought her upstairs to cuddle her in the rocking chair and within and instant she was asleep.  She normally is up til about 8-8:30.

Any thoughts ladies?  I may be worrying too much bc she has never been sick or acted like this.  Not even with teething.  And as a FTM, i have nothing to compare this too!!

    sounds like teeth to me. Lexi has acted differently with each set of teeth, so just bc she hasnt acted like this before i wouldnt exclude it.

    Emma was like that for about 4 or 5 days last week. She hardly ate or drank anything and was not really ever interested in playing. Most of the time she just cuddled with me. I ended up calling a nurse line on Memorial Day because I just felt lost, like you, and they said she most like had a little virus. And like your DD, she didn't really have any sick symptoms. She didn't have a fever, no vomiting and no diarrhea. So, really, a virus was the last thing from my mind. After about a day and a half though, she started to get better and better, she just needed extra rest to fight the bug. So maybe that's what's going on with your girlie. The nurse line said to be creative in getting fluids in her to keep her hydrated and to call the doctor if she started having any consistent symptoms such as fever, vomiting, diarrhea, no wet diapers. All that being said though, it won't hurt to call your pedi and get some peace of mind. Hope she's back to herself soon!

    A was exactly like this two days ago and woke up the next day with a little cough and a runny nose. Maybe she's just not feeling hot today :(. Sorry your LO is not herself - hope she cheers up soon.

    DS has been this way the last 2-3 days.  However, he has had a slight fever.  Yesterday and lunch today no appetite.  But we think we see teeth starting to come in.  Hope your DD is feeling better.
