We are buying my IL's 2003 Honda Accord (a step up from our 1998 Honda Civic hatchback). We need a secondary carseat now. We already have a Britax Boulevard CS which will be put in the car that Caleb rides in most often, but need a second seat for the other car. Aslo, we are flying next month and will probably take this secondary seat with us. So, any opinions on the Britax Roundabout vs. Graco My Ride(we don't want to pay for another Boulevard, looking for something less expensive). Thanks!
Re: Britax Roundabout vs. Graco My Ride
If you have the Britax Boulevard you will HATE the My Ride 65. Don't be cheap like we did. We have been using the My Ride 2x for the past week or so and it feels so cheap compared to Britax. Do not get it... you will regret it.
Now with that being said I am sure it is a perfectly fine carseat (well rated by Consumer Reports) but if you have something to compare it to it will drive you nuts! It would be fine though if it is the only seat you ever knew.
Ah! Thanks for that insight! We do love the Boulevard, so maybe we should just get another Britax.

Share what do you love about it. Maybe we are using it "wrong".
We hate the plastic feet. The cheapy latch belts, the poor setbelt lock offs. I know you are not usings LATCH so how do you deal with the crappy seatbet lock off????
ETA: maybe I should take a look at yours and have you look at ours too. Maybe it is user error.
We use LATCH in one car and not in the other (though the seatbelt car is the one we just totaled so I can't show you that!)
I will say you're right, they are a pain to install. I have never installed a Britax, so maybe that's where the difference is. We didn't think it was any harder than our Keyfit though? For both we had to have one of sit on it while the other pulls the belts tight.
I just like the build of the Gracos. I like the shape of the seat, the way the straps work, I hated the rubber strap things on the Britaxes, and had more trouble getting her in and out in the store. It sounds silly, but I also really love the built in cupholders on the MyRides. They are the best car toy ever. We put a few small toys or stacking cups in each one and she plays with putting things in and pulling them out the whole time she's in the seat. We know she's asleep when we stop hearing the clacking
I forgot that is the car you were in an accident with. Damn it. You an DH have the same car and he has the Graco. That's why I asked.
We thought the Chicco and Britax installed just about the same way. Both of them LATCH system is made by the same company while the Graco seems to make it's own LATCH.
I TOTALLY agree with the rubber things. Britax said to take them off rear facing so that helped a ton!
I guess its all preference. I bought a Boulevard for our first convertible car seat with DD#1. When I started working and we needed a second seat, I bought a My Ride 65 for the other car to save a few $s. Now we use the My Ride 65 all the time and I am thinking of buying a Nautilus or Argos for my older daughter and put LO in the MR65, keeping the Britax for DH's car. Compared to the Graco's, I can't stand the Britax...seems so uncomfortable...which DD will attest too when asked which one she likes better.
