Are you enjoying bedrest?

How is your mental state?

ttc since 2/2010 ~
me (36): Hypothyroid (on Levothroid), low vit. d, borderline/high fsh (day 3: between 7-10) (day 10: 13 during CCCT), AFC: 14
dh (31): awesome (minus one sample with agglutination)
Diagnosis:possible DOR and/or unexplained + elevated NK cells + MTHFR (C677T - one copy)

MAY 2011 - FEB 2012 - 3 injectable IUI's with numerous cancellations due to high TSH levels
MAY 2012 - onto IVF/ICSI (Antagonist Protocol) on BCP and Folgard (3 week delay - cyst - boooo) 5/21 start stims 5/30 ER 11R 8M 3F 6/2 3DT of 3 6/12 Beta #1 83 | 6/14 Beta #2 196 | 6/21 Beta #3 3818 | 6/28 Beta #4 22,213 | 7/2 1st U/S - 2 on board! 8/24 CVS reveals that we have a boy AND a girl on board!

Healthy baby boy and girl born in February, 2013 at 38 weeks and 2 days!

    I thought I'd answer my own questions too! ;)

    I laid around in bed with my laptop, and read a lot about embryos and their different stages, and looked at many, many pictures. Read a lot about 3 day transfers. Also watched 30 Rock, and some trash TV like Househusbands. Read a bit of the Tina Fey book which is so funny. Looked at my embryo pictures a lot. Read a tiny bit of a magazine. Checked out The Bump regularly...

    I didn't enjoy bedrest; the only part I liked was the awesome dinner DH cooked for me last night and we both ate on a big tray in bed.

    Mental state is okay, but not great. I keep feeling very negative, and then hope creeps in and I feel positive. The embryo pictures make me happy and success stories make me happy. I have had to do my meditation tapes a few times to reset my mental space. Busy at work next week though so I won't have much time to think about every twinge. 

    Hope you are all hanging in there!

    I've been alternating between napping, reading a Brad Thor book, FB, Pinterest, The Bump and watching TV. I'm ready to be done with this laying around business. I'm staying off Pinterest now because it's making me hungry and want to do tons of projects around the house. When I get IVF paid off I have a whole list of things I now want to spend money on. lol I'm not letting my self think too much about my embies or research anything. I know I'll just make myself freak out if I do. I just keep telling myself that sometimes perfect embies don't make it and sometimes very poor quality ones do, so all I can do is pray for them to stick since there are no guarantees. Now, I'm just waiting for DH to be on his way home so he can bring me dinner.

    Let's see..yesterday I trolled FB, thebump, pinterest, I loaded up Netflix with stuff to watch.  Today, about the same.  I've been trolling FB, pinterest, thebump and now i'm watching reruns of 90210 on Netflix (Lame..I know).

    I've also googled, yahoo'd, bumped for all the "3 day transfer successes". This is my second IVF, the first was a 3 day, and this was a 3 day.  I'll say this.  Don't google "what's better", "better success rates", etc.  It is ALL confusing, the bottom line we all have unique journeys and all clinics, RE's have a unique set of rules, opinions, research,etc.  For example, at my clinic you must have 5 high quality on day 3 to push out to a day 5 transfer.  85% of all transfers at my clinic are 3 day. Some clinics only perform transfers on the third day. So, this round of IVF I refuse to google all the conflicting information regarding 3 vs 5, I'm chosing to trust my RE :)..and right now, i'm pretty excited those little embies are back on the *mothership*!!!

    I'm bored lounging in this recliner and my butt hurts from sitting in the same spot! I get up to fill my water, bathroom breaks and my recommended "legs up the wall" yoga pose :).  I've scanned about 15 cooking magazines for my super duper recipe binder..only about 100 to go!!....

    I will say, this being the secong round..my mental state is better this round.  I've had time to learn relaxation techniques from my acupuncturist and yoga instructor.  Plus these trashy 90210 episodes in conjunction with browsing my old recipe mags is keeping the ole cray cray mind occupied!!!

    Me = 39 DH = 50 TTC (since 01/2009 after a short break, I stopped counting *cycles* in 2010)
    DX 2010 : Unknown Infertility , AMA
    HSG 2005 = Normal / HSG 2010 = Normal
    SA 2005 = Normal / SA 2010 /2012 = Slightly low count : motility, morphology GREAT!
    Chromosomal analysis, MTHFR, ANA's, Lupus, Protein C, Protein S, APCR = Normal 2011

    M/C : 2005 (7wk), 2010 (6wk), 2011 (7wk)

    8 IUI's 2010-2011 all BFN

    IVF/ICSI antagonist 01/2012 #1 = BFN

    IVF/ICSI antagonist long 06/2012 #2 = BFN

    IVF/ICSI/CGH MDLF New Clinic/New RE 11/2012 #3 = One beautiful boy blasty frozen PGS normal

    IVF/ICSI/CGH MDLF 02/2013 #4 = One more beautiful boy blasty frozen PGS normal

    FET 6/20 : One 5AA PGS normal transferred Beta 1 6/28 = 53.9 / Beta 2 7/1 = 220 / Beta 3 7/3 = 550!

    1 U/S  6w3d - Heartbeat 119 /  2 U/S - 7w5d- Heartbeat 169 / 3 U/S (OB) 8w5d - Heartbeat still great!

    I laid on the couch and watched movies and read books. Only got up to go to the restroom, or eat. I have been stir crazy the whole time and extremely tired! I feel like the longer I lay there the more tired I get. My mental state is ok, I am just nervous for the results. I have been listening to circle and bloom meditation CDs every day and it helps.

     I use these too! They really do help!

    I hear you girl! I am so ready to work on paying this sucker off. My fun spending has gotten really boring in preparation for this and I miss some of the good life!

    So, so true. This is exactly what I found with all my google-ing as well.

     Yesterday I ate like crap, perhaps I will do that again today.

    Mmmmm...I made sure to get some of those TJ's meringue cookies to have accessible to me at all times, as well as peanut butter chocolate ice cream. Treats!
