wow, I'm surprised to see that only 35% of mothers EBF at 3 months....maybe I'll be less surprised once I actually give it a go. But the hassle and expense of formula makes me feel very determined to EBF until baby can start on baby food.

I think this statistic is less about what mothers want and more about the US's horrible maternity leave policies. 3 months is coincidently all the time most women are allowed to take after the birth of a child. Once back in the work force, pumping is difficult if not impossible for a large portion of women.
