Eviction notice - finally!

Went in this morning (41w) for an u/s & nst. Fluid levels are good & baby is doing good. During the u/s LO was facing up & towards my right hip. So I'm dreading the possibility of back labor. And the nst showed very slight contractions, which I never felt & aren't really doing anything to progress me. I then had my appointment & am a fingertip dilated. (& OMG that cervix check was the worst one yet - I swear it felt like he was gonna put his fist through my butt!)

The doc (not my regular doc) talked to me about induction. I'll be going in tomorrow evening to start softening my cervix & then the pitocin will be started Wednesday morning. Unfortunately it won't be my regular doc doing the induction. He has two inductions scheduled Friday & they don't like to schedule more than two in one day. And then after that he's going on vacation. So I'm stuck delivering with the other doctor.

Which it sucks but at least LO will be getting out! He did tell me that without being dilated there's a higher risk for c/s, but that's why they're starting the softening the night before. Which I already knew about the higher risk for c/s. 

So by Wednesday evening - one way or another - I'll have an outside baby! And hopefully the darn PUPPS will start to go away!

    Yay! Wishing you an uneventuful induction. My sister and myfirend's wife both had unfavorable cervixes when they were induced, and while both had long labors, they both delivered vaginally. Good luck! I can't wait to hear from you!

    I am going in the same time :). Its so exciting. Their starting me on the gel on tuesday night and pitocin wednsday morning. Heres safe smooth deliveriesnfor both of us :)
