So scared for my u/s tomorrow

in Pregnant after IF

I long for the day when I'm not a shivering, terrified mess before an IF appointment!  I'm so scared that I am going to get bad news tomorrow - very bad news.  I have no reason for this other than I've seen so many girls have the joy of having a baby taken away in the blink of an eye and I'm so scared that will be me!

What if there's no baby?  What if there's no heartbeat?  What if there's a baby but it's measuring far behind?  See, this is what I do to myself and I work myself into a tizzy! 

There's really no point to this post other than to put my fears in writing. Sad

    Me too! I am an anxious as all hell. I will have my fingers crossed for you....keep me posted! hopefully we'll both have great news!

    wishing you the best of luck!!! that was the worst wait ever, in between beta hells & u/s....definitely worse than 2ww in my opinion, nothing but nerves & stress...i hope you have a great u/s!!! we're rooting for ya!! :)

    I definitely know how you are feeling and I would love to say it goes away, but it doesn't.

    Just do everything you can to enjoy the fact that today you are pregnant.   I hope everything goes smoothly.

    I hope that you get nothing but good news tomorrow!

    I am 25w and still panic before every appt! I don't think it actually ever goes away! Good Luck!

    I definitely know how you feel and I think most of us have felt that way!  I'd like to tell you it goes away, but it never completely does.  It does get easier though with each milestone.  Hoping everything goes wonderfully tomorrow!  Good luck!

    I felt the exact same way before my first u/s. IF messes with our heads so much, it makes it hard to enjoy these special moments!!

    Diagnosis: Blood clotting and bleeding disorder, immune issues, & cervical stenosis
    5/10 - 1st IVF cycle - BFN
    FET - 10/12/10 - BFN
    1/11 - IVF with PGD - BFN
    IVF - May - BFN
    6/11 New RE - fingers crossed!
    9/11 - IVF - 4 transferred
    10/13 - BFP!!
    It's a boy! Clint Michael, Due in June!!!

    Mine is next week and I feel the same way. I keep wanting to make an excuse to try to go in early but, then again, I do not want anything to come up to where I have to go in.
    IVF #1 w/ ICSI: ER 3/12 18 eggs retrieved 12 eggs fertilized; ET 3/17 1 transferred 3 frozen- BFN

    IVF #2 w/ ICSI: ER 5/8 9 eggs retrieved 8 eggs fertilized; ET 5/13 2 transferred 1 frozen; BETA #1: 1,197; U/S scheduled for 6/11-TWINS!

    I'm the same way - I'm very much "the glass is half empty" when it comes to myself, Hon.

    It is very scary waiting for that first u/s. Just remember that the odds are in your favor that you'll be seeing a healthy little bean who's doing just fine ((BIG HUGS))

    You are in great company!  Unfortunately, I think that's the norm for most of us.  I've been a wreck before every single appt so far.  Try to just take it one day, one appt at a time, and allow yourself to believe and celebrate good news :)  Lots of luck tomorrow!

    I am so sorry you are feeling this way but know that we have all felt this way.  IF has messed with our minds over the years and in-turn, we can't fully enjoy our pregnancy without the worry.

    I wrote the exact same post 11 weeks ago when I went in for my first u/s!  So, like others said, we know how you feel.  Try to keep your mind occupied and stay positive.  I'm the sort of "hope for the best, prepare for the worst" kind of person.  Just remember, the ODDS are on your side.  GL and we will await your GOOD news tomorrow!

    Well it would apperar that I am in good company. My first u/s is Wednesday, and I've never had a positive u/s.

    But there is something I've learned, and that is I have no control over what happens. I did everything "perfect" with my first three pregnancies and I still lost them. So being anxious makes me feel bad, it stresses out my wonderful DH so I just relax, remain positive and hope for the best.

    Hoping we all get WONDERFUL news this week :)

    I felt that way at each appointment as well.  And like PPs all said, it never completely goes away.  But it does get better with each milestone.  Try to relax and enjoy it (I know, easier said than done!)  GL - can't wait to hear!

    Oh gosh, I was so nervous for our first u/s, which was 2.5 weeks ago. I cried when I saw the hb!! Hang in there, lady! You are pregnant now, so embrace that happiness! I'm praying for you and waiting for your update tomorrow!

    I think those are all fears that we have all had at some point...even now. I feel better for a day or two after an appt or u/s, and then I start to worry again. I don't think the fears will ever completely go away, but just keep reminding yourself that each day is one more day of pregnancy, and that is a great thing!!!
    2/11 Diagnosis: DOR-AMH .62, LPD and MFI-4% Morph
    IVF #1-July 2011 7/9/11-Started Stims
    7/20/11-ER:No eggs in 4/5 follicles. Left the 5th follie intact and converted to an IUI
    8/3/11-Beta #1=BFN,
    Nov, 2011 BFP #1=m/c at 7 wks 3 days
    11/11-AMH .47, IVF #2 March 2012...or not!! Surprise BFP on 2/19. Beta #1=161. Beta #2 305 Our little miracle girl is on her way! Due Oct 29, 2012
