squashing baby talk?

DH and i do not do baby talk unless we're mimicking. it drives me BONKERS. my cousin (who is annoying enough, just socially strange) does this OVER the top baby talk and i HATE it so much. i've started saying (to J) things like "idk why he's talking to you like that, maybe he was dropped on his head", but i don't think he's "getting" it.

how do i tactfully say knock it off?

    "In an effort to encourage proper language development we really try our best to have everyone interacting with LO try to speak at a normal pace and tone.  We also strongly encourage the use of grown up words.  Hope you don't mind.  Thanks"

    Haha, I was just going to suggest, "Knock it off! ...you're driving me crazy and J will learn better if you don't talk like that."

    I don't have any suggestions because my sister does the same thing and I hate it!!!! She is so good to Em, but DH and I can't stand the baby talk. We and my mom always make little comments how no one baby talks to Em, but she's not getting it. Her and her fiance always talk baby talk to each other, which makes me want to vomit because they do it ALWAYS, but I don't want her doing it to Em. Baby talk is weird to me.
