Team Green - Need Boy Name help!

We are STILL stuggling with boy names...Nothing seems to want to stick!

Our girl name will be Evie (Ee-vee) Grace (back up is Katherine in case she doesn't look like an Evie)

the top boy names on our list are:

  • Samuel (but my MIL is obsessed with the beer Samuel Adams, so afraid she will be annoying with it)
  • Sawyer
  • Elliott (husband really doesn't want Eli as a NN, but my parents are huge Giants fans, so similar to the beer situation with Sam, my parents will do that with Eli Manning - DH is a huge Patriots fan)
  • Ryan
  • Maxwell (though the nickname Max wont go with the last name Lynch)

Middle name options are Thomas and Joseph (family names)

Based on our styles, any other suggestions?

    Is having nickname important to you?  Otherwise I like what a PP suggested- Reid is great!

    I like Samuel a lot, but annoying MILs are the worst.  And Sam Adams is probably not going anywhere.  The Eli Manning thing is probably short lived.  Maybe 5-10 more years. 

    Ryan is nice and classic.   And I agree with you Max Lynch does not come off the tongue easily.

    Honestly, you can't really go wrong with any of those names.  I like Samuel and Maxwell the best though!

    weird to be obsessed with a beer. that aside. I like thomas elliott  (i know its like a reverse of what you wanted but sounds really old school and educated; thomas elliott lynch) thinking about it now, all your names sounds really nice as your picks for first names for the middle name and the middle names as the first names. my opinion though. (just not thomas sawyer heh)

    Of the names you have listed, I like Samuel Thomas or Ryan Thomas the best.  Samuel gives a nice option for a nickname (though I may be biased, as my NN is Sam - from Samantha) :-)    Ryan is always a good, solid name, but no real option for a NN, so I think it depends on if a NN is important to you.

    Best of luck - I'm sure when your LO is born and you see his/her face, you'll know just what name is right :-)

    I know..and its never just "hey I'll have a sam adams" its always "ill have a Samuel Adams Boston Lager"

    humph...the little things that annoy me :-)
