For the past few days pretty much every time I pee and then wipe there is a glob of mucous on the toilet paper (it also happened a couple weeks ago but wasn't too much and went away, this has been consistent for a few days). It literally looks like I blew my nose into the toilet paper (sorry gross I know), and the globs keep getting bigger. There hasn't been any blood in it, it is pretty clear with maybe a tinge of yellow. I'm thinking it is probably my mucous plug but just wondering if other people lost it over a few days? I'm 39 weeks 1 day, 2cm and 60% effaced so I am really really hoping it may mean something might happen soon!

    It could be your MP or it could be just part of the normal fun things that happen at the end of pregnancy.  I've had the same thing happening for the past two weeks.

    Sorry, I can't really be of help, but I've had the same kind of thing for the last week or so, but there hasn't been any blood or anything. I couldn't figure out if it was heavy/increased discharge or plug..

    When I saw that last night, I thought "cool. my mucous plug."  The day began with fertile CM like stuff which I thought was weird.

    Had brown in it this morning. I hope it means Im close.

    Your little belly monster is due today too Smile I had a lot of this stuff yesterday, but it was colorless.. I did have some contractions in the evening, but they faded. Grr! I want him out!

    GL to you! Hope LO arrives soon.

    With my first pg I lost my mp over 2 days in a couple of large pieces, and then DD was born 3 days later at 39w 5d!  Good luck!

    I have the same thing. My OB said that because I am 2cm dialated that the mucus plug is trying to regenerate itself and the space is too big so the mucus just passes through ending up in your undies or on your toilet paper.

    I've been having this for the past couple of weeks... my lamaze coach had mentioned that the MP could come out in pieces like that, so I'm assuming that's what it is.  & it is exactly how you described it.
