Hello! Intro...

I just wanted to introduce myself. I started TTC in the hopes of becoming a SMBC (single mom by choice). After 6 failed home inseminations, 2 failed IUIs, and 3 failed IVFs I decided to pursue fostering to adopt. I know I have a long journey ahead of me, but I'm excited! I'm attending an informational meeting tomorrow and since I'm now on summer vacation (I'm a teacher) I hope I'm able to finish the PRIDE and CPR classes this summer. I look forward to getting to know you all!
Me (29)-Aspiring SMBC
6 home inseminations=BFN
2 IUIs= BFN
3 IVFs=BFN
June 2012-Decided to give up TTC and started the process to adopt from foster care!

    Welcome and good luck in everything. I am also a single mom by adoption. The ride is crazy but VERY worth it!

    Mother of two wonderful boys! Blessed through adoption.

    Welcome.  I am also a single mom by choice thru fost/adopt.  It's a hard path but so worth it in the end.  Prepare yourself for emotional ups and downs along the long wait.  Good luck.

    Wow!!  I didn't know there were so many Single Moms through adoption on board. I too and a single mom through adoption.  It is something that I would love to do again if I could afford it. 

    Jmoka I hope everything works out for you with your adoption.  It is very rewarding and fun. I couldn't ask for a better daughter.  I have had people ask if I miss not giving birth and my answer is always no. If I gave birth I wouldn't have my daughter.  Keep us posted on your journey.
