Tell me about Gerber Good Start Gentle

My LO  had bad gas loose stools with Enfamil newborn and with Enfamil gentle ease. So we decided to try soy base Enfamil. It took away gas pain but has caused major constipation. So now I want to try Gerbers gentle formula and see if this milk bases formula will be easy on his stomach without the as pains. 

Share your experience and do you recommend?

    How long have you been on Enfamil soy? It took L a little over a week to get back to being regular.

    This is our 4th week on soy. First week was pasty thick stool once a day . Then ihe just stopped pooping. the second week and on he won't go for a couple days and when he did, stool was hard and he would strain. We were told by ped to give prune juice daily to soften stool and that as helped but I don't like the idea of having to feed prune juice daily. I was told that he should only be on soy if he truly has a milk allergy/ lactose intolerant but it has not show to be the case yet with my son since we have not seen blood in stool. . That's why I wanna I back to milk base and see if his tummy can handle it and see what stool he produces now. my LO is  2 and 1/2 months.

    I switched to soy because of all the stomach problems she seemed to have. I kind of miss her pooping a few times a day though. We seem to have a lot of lactose problems in our family.

    My LO was supplemented from birth with the Gerber Good Start Gentle formula and was fine. When i stopped BF and solely went to formula (which was only 2 days), my husband was freaking bc the baby was fussy. He blamed it on the formula so we switched to the Gerber Good Start Soy. He has been on that for 5 weeks and has horrible hard stools. He cries and strains to poop. We have had to give him prune juice and water twice a day for a month with not much improvement. I decided to give the Gentle formula a try again. He has been on it for 2-3 days and is fine other than the bad gas. Its so much and soooo stinky! He was able to have a normal BM tho. Very soft and no discomfort when passing it. He is more fussy than usual but i remember a nurse telling me that it can take up to a week for their system to get adjusted. So my fingers are crossed that the fussiness and gas dies down. Im just happy that he isnt so uncomfortable when he poops. Good luck!

    My son is on the Gerber Good Start Gentle. We first tried similac and that caused him so much pain so we switched and its working GREAT! But...as someone else said, my only complaint is the stinky gas!  He doesnt seem to have any problems regularly, but every now and then he gets overly gassy and we have to help him get it out.

    Thanks for the feedback! I will give Gerber Gentle a try. I hope this will work!
