For those who went early

For those women who had their LO's early, (and LO was happy) first off, Yay for you!! Second, did you "have a feeling" that you were going to go early, or were there a lot of signs leading up to it? Or was it simply out of the blue?

I was having really regular braxton hicks contractions for about a week straight and my doctor said he thought I would go a week early, (which is next week) the last few days I really believed something would happen, but in the last couple days my BH really have slowed down to almost nothing and now I feel like I will be pregnant for another month!

So, did you know? Or were you completely surprised? I'm hoping that I will be surprised and it will happen soon!!

  • My first baby was almost 3 weeks early.  It was totally out of the blue.  I'm hoping that this one will come a bit early too....I'm too anxious to meet him!

  • DS was completely out of the blue.  It wasn't until my water broke that I knew I was going early.

  • Totally out of the blue at 39 weeks and 2 days. I've been having tons of signs for the past 2 weeks with this one though and still nothing.

  • In the beginning I had a feeling but not sure why.  In the 2-3 weeks before his arrival I was starting to think he was going to be stubborn and come late.  I had actually just asked my doc the week before how long would they let me go and she said 41 weeks so I was preparing for the long haul.

It happened completely out the blue.  I actually thought the funny feeling was him dropping.  I don't recall having any braxton hicks at all.  I was completely surprised to find out I was actually in labor.  I thought we would head to the hospital and they would say I was in false labor, partly because I didn't know my water had broken.

  • It was totally out of the blue for me. I started to lose my mucous plug about an hour before my water broke and was at work, teaching, when my water broke. Labour came on really quickly, and he was born about ten hours after I lost my mucous plug.

  • For the longest time I thought I'd be late. I had basically no BH or anything. About three days before I just got the feeling that he was coming, I kept telling DH that he was going to be here soon. Then I got a serious burst of energy, a little over 8 months and I was out in the yard shoveling like crazy and moving furniture, DH told me that I was about to go into labor. That night I just got antsy as all get out, just couldn't hold still and felt completely panicked. Surprise surprise, midnight that night my water broke.
