Hello! I am rarely on here anymore, but I have a couple of questions!
1. Why is it so hard to choose a theme for a first birthday? I just can't decide. I've gone from Lemonade, Uno, Ladybug and now thinking about a Sunshine (just based on a cake I saw that had the lyrics to You are My Sunshine). I just know after this year, she will somewhat have a say, but there are too many cute ideas!! I can't decide and need help!
2. I feel so lost as to what she should be eating. She still has problems with texture, so I'm at a loss as to what to feed her. I feel like I was on top of it when my son was this age, but I just cant think about what she should be eating, as far as daily meals. I don't want to feed her the same things everyday.
Re: 2 questions in 1 post RE: 1st BD theme and Solids
BIrthday themes are so fun! I love the "You are my sunshine" idea! I am thinking about doing "rubber ducky" for my son's because he goes crazy for his "ddddddddduck!"
You could try having fun with your grater for food ideas...my 9 month old LOVES grated cheese, grated cucumber, grated pear...it is easy to pick up and eat.
We are doing a rainbow theme. I like the ladybug and sunshine theme, but my best suggestion is to look up both, and see what has the most available in terms of decoration. Rainbows are tougher than I thought. I am having to make a lot.
I mostly give my LO finger foods now. She loves blueberries, strawberries, cheerios, mum mums, Gerber Graduates Lil Crunches, and puffs. I still try for veggies, but she usually refuses those.
