Pre-Labor? I'm so ready haha

So this entire pregnancy I hadn't felt any braxton hicks. Well two days ago I started feeling cramps, sometimes it was really low in my back and around the lower part of my stomach, other times it was up top, and sometimes it was on the sides. Not regular either - 10mins, 15mins, 8mins, 1hr, several hours, 8 mins... etc. Well today I have had a few cramps, not as constant, but I've added diarrhea (TMI, sorry) to the picture. Had it on and off all day, I went for a 30 minute walk, and almost didn't make it home! Now I've gone two more times in the past 2 hours... UGH!

I had a good contraction right towards the end of my walk. A couple small cramps here and there since, but nothing significant. I'm assuming I've begun the trek down "pre-labor"... just wish I knew how long it would last. A couple days to a few weeks from what I've heard. I'm only 37 weeks (almost 38), but not knowing drives me totally crazy! haha.

Anyone else experience any of that?

  • I have been having some light menstrual-like cramps for the past week or so.

  • I am in the same boat. Except I'm having bh every other night, pretty irregularly, but enough to wake me out of a dead sleep. The first time it happened I was having a little freak out and told DH we were in trouble because we didn't even have the car seat installed ;) but here I am a few days later still pregnant. The strong bh are really annoying, and not just because they are painful, but it gets my hopes up! Then I have to repeat to myself: I will not be pregnant forever, I will not be pregnant forever....

I keep telling myself this too... but after today... I had to break out the icecubes after my last trip to the bathroom... I feel like the next three weeks are going to feel like an eternity!!!

  • I am right there with you.  I am almost 38 weeks and have been experiencing a lot of pre-labor.  My contractions are not painful just a lot of tightening and very uncomfortable with the pressure since my baby boy is so low.  He is moving like crazy tonight and feels like he wants out...lol.  I am scheduled for induction on Wednesday because the dr. says he is already 7 lbs and 14oz.  I am hoping to go into labor before then.  Good luck and thanks for sharing.

  • Babies will be here soon ladies its hard but you can do it. As far as pp bethyluv? Thats crazy your dr is enducing so early do to a guess in size thats under 8lbs. The way i understand it babies born under 39 weeks are lazy eaters and miss out on alot of important brain and lung growth that last couple weeks. Its scary possibly having a big baby i was told at 38weeks mine was guessed to be 8 14.
