missing periods with mirena?

Has anyone missed any? I delivered 8/18 stopped blleding all together the last week in Sept and had the mirena implanted 10/3. I spotted on and off for a few weeks and had a day of really painfull cramping mid Oct, but still haven't gotten my period...

    Hey! I had the exact same experience as you.  I had mine inserted in July, spotted for about 2-3 weeks and have not had a period yet.  My Dr. said that this was something that could happen.  Mirena's are supposed to make your periods lighter and in some women can make it disappear completely.  So, it is totally normal, and in my opinion, a blessing!

    Hi!  I had mine put in back in May.  My Dr explained to me that is supposed to make your periods go away or become lighter.  Some women (like me) experience on & off spotting for the first few months, but I have had about 6 - 8 week spurts where I've had nothing.  I know some ladies here have mentioned that ther AFs stopped all together, so I think it is pretty normal.
