Grr, neighbors with loud music making it hard for DS to fall asleep.

that's the worst. a couple wknds ago, DH and i took DD to a wedding. it involved all his highschool friends and we had adjoining rooms. i was trying to put DD to sleep, she was SO tired... but DH was talking (DH is loud w/o the help of liquid courage... combined --- he's ridiculous!) and DD kept looking for him. it was almost cute.
crocodile dundee was on (quietly as a background noise to blot out DH) and it came to the part where he puts the water buffalo to sleep - i swear it worked on DD, she was mesmerized!
anyway, hope you have a fan or something you can use as white noise. good luck!

Well, we have a noise machine that makes ocean wave noises, so I put that on. He finally went to sleep and is doing great now, it was just the GETTING there that was difficult!!
If my ears don't deceive me though, it sounds like (hopefully we don't jinx it) they have turned the music off! Or at least to a more reasonable decibel!

Totally get that! We had new neighbors move in about a month ago. We NEVER heard the last couple. This couple with teen daughter is nice but our bedroom windows are on the same side and they open them at night and watch t.v. late. I can hear it in DS room and our room. I have had to turn on A.C. to drown it out
The last neighbors never opened their windows. I didn't know it was such a sound traveling tunnel between our two houses. It kinda makes me think of what the old neighbors heard some of our late nights... 
They are renters so hopefully they won't live their forever. Otherwise our bill is going to be out of control.
