NBR: What's in my new washer!?!?! (PIP)

Here's the story, today I got my "new" Whirlpool washer and dryer! Yay! When BF transferred last week, his washer and dryer set went with him.Β So, I got my new set today.Β They were actually a friend's set, that sat in storage for over a year, brand spanking new!Β He got tired of paying storage for them and sold them to me. $400 for both of them combined. I majorly scored on this. Pat on the back for me.Β  Anyhoooooo, thing is......I feel like maybe "something" might have made a home in the washer.Β My Weimer, Jules,Β is now completely obsessed with sniffing out and pointing at the washer. I shut the laundry room, she pushes it open with her fat head and will. not. leave. that. space. now.

Help.Β  I'm scurrrrrred.Β  WHAT'S IN THERE!?!?! Tongue Tied

    LMAO!! Your fur baby will protect you! Have you ran it yet? Maybe a good washing with some bleach would help get rid of whatever sent your dog is smelling.

    Did the previous owners have a dog? Maybe thats what your dog is smelling? I know you said they weee in storage for a while but if it was in their house for any time the other dog's scent could be on them.

    I think there is very good possibility of a dog scent on there, and I haven't run them yet...but I will be running it today with a cycle of bleach AND Clorox-disenfectant wiping everything down.Β  Wish me luck!!!!

    Jules may look tough.Β  But in reality she's an old (11 yrs.), overweight, chicken sh*t.Β  She may very well run up to an intruder, bark, lunge, and lick them to death. It's all very pathetic. <heavy sigh>
