Disney: movies or start with shorts/sing a longs

DD mainly watches Baby Signing Time only, has the CDs, books, etc.

But during bath-time or when I need a break I turn on the Pandora Disney station. I have noticed she likes songs from a couple specific movies - at this age I am sure she would not sit through the full length but I like to do fun/different things on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Would you get the full Disney movies if they are even not vaulted - or would you spend money on shorts or sing-a-longs first that might be shorter?

  • I already had some movies but sometimes I put one in like toy story or nemo for baby.

  • I'm not familiar with the Baby Signing Time but I just wanted to say that growing up, I LOVED those Disney sing along videos. I would think that they may be more suited to our LO's due to age and shorter attention spans. Plus, it also introduces a variety of songs and movies for your LO to learn, you can get more of a feel of what they like and what they don't.

  • It's up to you really. You don't need to show a whole movie at once. From what I read it's not recommended to do any screen time before two. I tried really hard to do without, but there are times when I make exceptions and we watch 15-30 min. She usually loses interest after 5-10 min and starts to play with toys.
