Homemade laundry detergent and an HE frontloader

I wanted to start making my own Laundry detergent with the EFF formula and vinegar for softener, but I can't see anywhere how much to use if you have an HE frontloader washing machine, please can someone let me know how much they use ( I am going to make up the cloth diaper version as posted below):

Also, does anyone use Baking Soda for shampoo, and vinegar for conditioner, this also interests me as the sulphate free shampoo is so expensive, but I am not sure how I would store it in the shower?

Thank you for your help.

  • I use 2 tablespoons of EFF detergent.

Most people who no poo mix the baking soda in water in a squirt bottle and mix before applying.

  • I love the homemade laundry soap recipe! It saves us a fortune!  I use about 2 Tbsp.

The cloth diaper recipe is great too.  I just use wool dryer balls instead of vinegar- I ordered them on etsy.

No experience with the no poo.  But, i did try the dishwasher soap recipe, and it was successful at first but then started leaving a film.  I also don't think there was much of a cost savings with the dishwasher soap recipe.  Certainly not like the laundry soap!
