I really like the name Morgan for a girl but I have a first cousin with this name. I am not very close with her and haven't seen her in over 20 years (she lives abroad). Her parents are my god parents and we communicate occasionally through cards and email. Would using the name for our child be odd?

Nah, my sister is named Alison and our first cousin named her DD Allison. To avoid any weirdness, I'd just ask that side of the family for "permission" to use the name first. Your cousin will likely be flattered; my sister was.
I agree!

My sisters middle name is Morgan after our mom's dad. I think it would be fine to use
I feel exactly the same way

The only reason I question the choice is that it is a first cousin.
However, if you haven't seen her and she doesn't even live in the same country, not to mention there is obviously a gigantic age difference between her and your child, then I don't think it's that big of a deal, plus they will have different last names.
I would definitely make sure I chose a different middle name.
