Happy Saturday!!

I was a bartender for 5 years, about 4 years ago in a big town. I drank a lot, naturally. Since we moved and now live in a small town I don't really drink that much, at all. Ever since I have been lurking and posting here... Y'all talk about wine, ALOT and it made my mouth water!! So.. I went and bought 2 bottles of Reisling today

SO the point to the post.. what adult beverage do you like most?

1/2 oz vodka 1/2 oz triple sec 1/2 oz rum 1/2 oz gin 1/2 oz tequila 1 oz sweet and sour mix 1/2 oz Blue Curacao liqueur 4 - 6 oz Sprite? soda Instructions Shake ingredients (except Sprite) together in a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice cubes. Add Sprite and stir. Strain into a hurricane glass over ice, and serve. (we put a splash of pineapple juice in it as well)

Oh, I almost forgot, a bartender friend created a drink with vodka, white wine, pineapple juice and vanilla syrup for our wedding. He called it the transatlantic love.

Oh wow that sounds delish and expensive! Almost like a long island with Blue cura?ao!

Mmmmmm I heart all of these! Margaritas usually is a "treat". My regular drink is vodka water with lime. I also love white wine with club soda and a squeeze of lemon.

I like Vodka and Cranberry and Vanilla Vodka and coke taste like a Vanilla coke!

We mostly made the "normal" drinks (Margaritas, Teq Sunrise, Jager bombs, Bahama Mamas.. etc) but I loved making up new shot recipes that I probably couldn't remember now if you tortured me. I LOVE Red Headed Sluts and Kamikaze the best!

It's Saturday afternoon, which means it's neighborhood happy hour. All kids and dads are outside--kids with big wheels and scooters and dads with a bucket of beers. I'm about to go join them with the cocktail DH whipped up--a vodka, triple sec, and tropical deliciousness surprise!

That sound alike fun! I wish I lived in a cool neighborhood like that! That drink sounds delish as well! I may make a liquor store run here in a bit. Jeez, Im gonna turn into an alkey

You ladies make me want a cocktail! My fall-back choices are a gin & tonic or mojito. Also love: margaritas, Tom Collins, and dark & stormy. ...I'm not so into vodka. There are a couple great cocktail bars in my neighborhood. I loove cocktails!

Love whiskey! I drink it straight, too, but it has to be a good one for that to happen. (And Jack Daniels is just nasty!)

I like Cabernet or Malbec if I'm drinking wine. Beer-wise, I like Abita Turbo Dog. I'm not from New Orleans if that tells you how awesome Abita is and if I want mixed drinks or I'm watching too much Mad Men, I like Tom Collins, recipe below.

Agreed! I am also a fan of anything lime-flavored. Nom. I love sweet wines as well, mostly Moscato and Riesling.

Amaretto sour, white Russian (not together, learned that the hard way! Milk+acid=sour stomach!!), and chocolate martinis! OH and the Wallaby Darned (frozen peach deliciousness) from Outback!!!

My go-to is Miller Lite, or a Bud Light Lime in the summer. Or any wheat beer usually is fine with me. As far as cocktails, I love my margaritas, but any fruity drink with vodka or rum will probably do the trick.

I barely ever drink, but when I do I LOOOOVE mojitos. Mmmmmmm. Thinking of how I'm gonna be having plenty of them next month in Mexico.

Oregon pinot noirs make me very happy. If we're hanging on the patio or having tacos or fajitas, I like to make up a pitcher of white wine sangria. When mangos are in season, I love them in a nice frozen margarita. When we visit my brother, he whips up a martini he came up with called the pink puntang...I have no idea what is in it, but 2 will put you on your butt!

My favorite would have to be a Malibu Bay Breeze. I love Malibu Rum. I don't drink often at all (maybe once every 6 months) but when I do it's Malibu.
