AFP Results?

Did anyone else have the AFP screening done? I got my results back today and my AFP levels are high. Unfortunately, I can't get in to the specialist for 3 weeks so I am in the dark until then.

Has anyone else ever had a positive on this screening?

My doctor never mentioned this to me. Is this standard or elective? Are you high risk?

It is elective. I'm not high risk at all but H and I are of the mind set that we would like to have all the information we can. Since I originally posted this I talked to the nurse again and she explained my odds are pretty low but they just want to check things out.
