Is this stroller just new or unpopular?

I found a (what seems to be to me) great stroller and car seat travel system. It is by Graco though, and I guess the Graco travel systems aren't as popular as I think they should be lol. This is what I found (my husband and I both tried it out in BRU, and I found it cheaper on Amazon).

We both like the color of it too, since it doesn't scream boy or girl. What do you think?

ETA: I actually like how bulky it seems to be. I don't like lighter strollers.

I highly recommend going to a store and trying one out.  IMO the Quattro Tours are tough to steer when you have the carseat attached (and I'm in pretty good shape).  I do agree that there is avbalance between light weight vs feeling to flimsy.  If you try it and still like it then go with it.  You're the ones who will be having to use it not us!  Just make sure you try pushing a few to be sure you don't get something you'll hate after a month!!

The Quattro is definitely not new, so I'm guessing just unpopular. Common complaints about Graco travel systems are bulkiness and cheap construction.

This. Crappy construction. Crappy plastic-sounding wheels. Not as nice of material. Graco would be my last choice.

  • You said you'd prefer a bulky stroller over a light one?  Do you have kids yet?  I really don't get this. At all.

  • Have to agree with some of the PP...try it out for yourself, although it IS hard to test something out for 5 minutes in a store where everything seems to be smooth.  You really need to test it outside of a store (although not sure if this is possible).  I also agree that you may change your mind about the bulkiness after you have kids, they require SO much and it all adds up with the weight!  Heard maneuverability was not great and also the material is more a cheaper plastic.  Combined with the weight and size of it, and the materials I would personally pass on it but there are parents who love it and that is most important!!  If you love it, then it doesn't matter what other people think!

Agreed. I had a Literider (similar to the Quattro) as my first stroller 15 years ago, I really wish I hadn't. Cheap plastic, not so great fabric, I had to replace it within 6 months. Not much at all has changed with them in that entire time, and I can't see spending money on that when there are sturdier, easier to use, and more attractive strollers available, usually in the same price range. I don't see the appeal, sorry OP.

Exactly this.  I got a Quattro Tour with my first and it was sooo heavy!

Do you like it because of the reversible seat?   There are plenty of other strollers out there that are better made and have either reversible handle/seat.

I'm assuming you like bulky, you want a full sized stroller, not a smaller one.   There are full sized strollers that are made with different materials so they are not as heavy as the Graco.

Go to the store and push that sucker around with the car seat attached.   Bring a heavy bag to throw in there too so you can see how much harder it can be to push/steer with the additional weight of a kd in there.

  • I had a graco with both my kids and loved them. To each it's own I guess. I too like a bigger stroller and I have 2 kids already. I got another graco this time around cause it works for me

As a not-so-proud owner of a Graco Stylus TS, I'll vouch for that.

  • I too don't understand wanting a bulky stroller. My best friend got one of these super bulky all in one strollers from Graco and she told me "Steer clear. Its a pain in the a** and we're going for a lighter one that wont get stuck in places while we're out. We've had it only for 4 months and we hate it. Biggest waste of money". Some people might like it. To each their own I suppose!

  • Honestly it really depends where you live and how often you are going to use a stroller.  I live in an area where you have to drive EVERYWHERE...as in there isn't even a park to walk to.  I pretty much use my stroller for trips to the mall or the once or twice a year we go to a theme park.  I have a graco and have zero issues with it.  In fact, I like it.  I am really glad that I did not spend more than $100 on a stroller because for my family it would have been a waste.  Now if I lived in a city where I would use the stroller on a daily basis I would probably feel better.

  • We have a graco travel system and I have no complaints. I have no idea what kind of stroller I have though.
