40w4d appt & no eviction date yet

Went to the appointment & the doctor said he was gonna check me. He said he doesn't want me going too far past my due date but at the same time wants some progress before being induced. So he checked. Absolutely no progress - my cervix is closed but soft. Which I figured since I haven't had a single contraction. I'm going back in Monday (41w) for an u/s & NST & THEN he'll decide what to do. I'm hoping the latest for an induction date will be next Friday. So maybe only a week more of being preg? Keeping my fingers crossed.

I nearly cried on the way back to the car. I really thought I'd have a date set today. But baby is being too stubborn. What makes it worse is I have PUPPS & it's pretty bad & the only way to get rid of it is to deliver. Which makes me want her out even more!

I then went to DH's work to tell him. I didn't even get to talk to him. Apparently he sprained his wrist trying to lift a car to place blocks underneath for an oil change. Or something along those lines. Luckily he didn't break it. So I guess it's been a fun filled day for both of us. 

Hopefully the rest of you who have yet to deliver have more luck!!

    So sorry! If it makes you feel any better, we are in the same boat except my due date was 2 days before yours (I am 40w6d today) and I also have had no progress, but have had two scheduled c-sections (both for different dates) and two cancellations of said c-sections (both because LO flipped from breech to head down and then from transverse breech to head down). The second one was this past Wednesday and I was literally on the hospital bed in a gown with a bag of IV fluids next to me, ready to be inserted, when they did the ultrasound! I haven't had a single contraction (that I know of, though I've had some strange shooting pains and yesterday thought MAYBE I was having them, but they went away shortly after I sat down)... and like you, cervix is closed and no progress at all (otherwise they MAY have kept me to induce on Wednesday instead of sending me home). And with all my LOs flipping, I'm totally neurotic about her movements/where she is and if it will happen again so I'm driving myself NUTS. Also, they didn't even want to see me at the office again until THURSDAY (41w5d), which is when I was originally told would be the latest date they'd induce if I was still pregnant. After reminding them that, they suggested for me to come Wednesday and when I reminded them they didn't have ultrasound in that office on Wednesday, they agreed to Tuesday. So I don't have a date set either, but we are looking at Wednesday evening or Thursday evening, hopefully at the latest. Good luck to you!

    Thanks! Yeah, they almost had trouble scheduling my u/s for Monday because they don't do them on Mondays. But they managed to fit me in somehow. I think I would have flipped if I would have been told a later date! Good luck to you too! :)

    Had an appt today (40w5d) as well and still no induction date. My next appt is Tuesday when I'll be 41w2d. I have had a bit of progress though, and I'm hopeful LO will come on his/her own before Tuesday. I'm actually happy to not have an induction scheduled though because I hate the idea of forcing LO out before he/she is ready. Hope we all have our babies before our next appointments!

    Same story over here. I'm 40w 5d and I don't feel like LO is even close to coming. I had an nst and u/s yesterday and the u/s tech said my cervix is still really long and I was only 1cm dilated. Ugh!

    I go back on Monday for another nst. My dr. Has offered to induce any time I'm ready but I'd rather LO come on her own if possible. But it's getting harder and harder every day!
