Bummis wet bag stinks

We use prefolds and Thirsties and all was good until I started noticing a slight stink coming from my clean Bummis hanging wet bag. Now everything smells like rotting fish!

I have a FL and use Nellies Laundry Soda. I run a warm/warm cycle with no spin and an added towel.i then wash in hot with the extra water feature and a extra rinse. 

What is the first step to correct this issue? Is this a common problem with wet bags?

    I've never had this issue with my Bummis wet  bag.  I let it line dry outside inside out or throw it in the dryer inside out.
