Icky belly button question...

LO is a little over 2 weeks now and her belly button looks like it is about to fall off. We had a dr appt Wednesday and let him know that it had been bleeding a little bit, so he cauterized it for us. Now all of this icky stuff is rubbing off on her clothes and leaving stains...any ideas of how to get it out? For now, I'm just trying to keep her in the same few onesies until it falls off...
First came love, then came marriage - Oct 31, 09
Then came a miscarriage March '11
Then came a baby in the baby carriage May 16, 12

Waiting on our second little peanut!

    Try washin them in your detergent: Gain, Tide, etc. it's stronger at removing stains. If it works, run them a couple of times in baby's detergent before dressing her in them.

    Peroxide. It's probably mostly blood. We are having the same problems with our LO's belly button. It fell off before she was a week old and needed to be cauterized. It's still healing.

    Dreft stain remover if your worried about baby stain stuff or clorox two stain remover.

    Try oxy-clean. It took out some of DD2's yucky belly button junk the other day.

    I am glad you posted this b/c my LO's belly button is doing the same thing.  It fell off after one week but still has goopy stuff coming out.  I will mention to the pedi at his 1 month appt in a couple days.

    Thanks ladies! Shout stain remover + Tide Free and Clear seemed to do the trick!
