now that Target gave a $25 gift card, do you think those who swore off Target will use it to buy something? Maybe they will use it and then continue their boycott??
I continue to buyer-beware "boycott" Target. I have my doubts about the credibility of their prices now and I've also heard horror stories about their return policies. However, if someone gave you $25, wouldn't you try to use it? It's still killing me tho, because I know that I can get all the items i'm considering cheaper at Wal-Mart...but if I can get them for free w/ the $25 I may as well.
If I got a $25 gc from Target, of course I would use it.
I wasn't involved with the carseat, but had an awful time with them with our wedding registry. I hate Target with a passion. I won't buy anything there ever again.
Otherwise, I would have "bought" the carseat, gotten mad with how they dealt with it, spent my $25 gc, and then never buy anything there again.
I never shop at Target.com because there shipping charges are crazy usually. The first time I actually placed an order with them was when they had the carseat. I ended up getting $55 in credit and found some things I needed, so I ordered enough to use the credit. I would not order from them again unless they had some good deals, which they almost never do.
I can't boycott the whole store because otherwise, I would have to drive about 20 minutes to get to another similar retail store, which, despite the crappy customer service at my local target, is just not worth the effort.
I never said I wouldn't shop there again, they made a huge mistake, caught it and we all read the fine print. What they did was legal.
I still like Target despite the Britax snafu. I was totally OK with the ordeal and honestly they didn't have to give us $25 e-certificates for the mistake.
I have never had a problem with Target. I actually love Target. Never had a problem returning things and never had a problem with my registry. Out of everything I registered for and got from there, I only got 2 duplicates, and they were items that I decided 2 of were good.
As far as the car seat thing, I think if only a few were sold, the error might not even have been detected and if so, they may have honored it. Who knows. But there were a lot of orders going through that day/night due to word if mouth. I am not defending them, but can say I am satisfied with the 25 voucher and I will use it and continue to shop there

I got it, and I'm not going to use it. I'm over them and the way I was treated by customer service. I think the disclaimer is hilarious though:
"By redeeming this e-GiftCard, you acknowledge full satisfaction and
release of any claims against Target relating to this pricing error."
