Question from 2nd Trimester..

When did you all start using lanolin?  I'm using lotion (sometimes mommy lotion - sometimes just basic lotion) to keep the itch and stuff down (not leaking yet) but I"m not sure when its proper to make the switch?

    I used it about a month before my EDD. I used it religiously after he was born and I never had any chapped nipples. LO had a good latch which of course is important to prevent chapping but I think the lanolin also helped. GL!

    I used it for a week when DD was first born but turns out she was getting a rash on her face from it so I switched to Mother Love nipple cream. It's the best.  But to answer your question, no, I didn't do anything prior to DD being born.

    I think I started using it my last couple of months of pregnancy.  Worked for me!

    Great :)  I just didn't know if regular lotion would 'plug' me up or cause issues if I didn't switch early enough - sounds like its really up to me :)
