So what's everybody's story...

We have {it seems} a lot of new people, so I thought people might want to reintroduce themselves, share their stories, etc.

I'm Kate {34 in August}, DH {40} and DD {8 next month} make up the rest of our little family. We got pregnant VERY easily with DD. Like a month after we got married after trying for like a week. Of course, I was 25 then, so everything was easier. Fast forward a number of years, with us trying on and off and never being on BC. We saw my OB after trying for a couple of months and she wanted to start testing because 7 yrs with no BC and no scares or anything made her worry. Well, turns out there were issues. So, we switched to an RE a couple of months ago and here we are. First medicated cycle we actually ended up TTA and now we have to sit the next two out due to travel schedules {both DH and family trips}. I won't lie and say I'm not discouraged...we can't even find the time to try to have a child! Anyway, that's me.

I am Jamie (34), DH is 34, and our DS is 2.  We had absolutely no problem getting pregnant with DS.  I had gestational diabetes which has swung into what we thought was pre diabetes.  After last weeks visit, RE thinks I may have a mild case of PCOS.  My cycles are all wonky and after a year of trying for #2, I will be starting Clomid next cycle.  I am still pre ovulation (I think) this cycle so we will attempt progesterone to fix my short LP.

I am Lisa (27). My DH is 30 and our DS is 2.5. We had a miscarriage right after our wedding at 6 weeks and 5 weeks after the miscarriage we were pregnant with DS. I had a great pregnancy until about 35 weeks when I started showing signs of pre-e. I was induced at 36w4d and DS was finally born at 36w6d on 12/31/09. My labor was really long but the actual delivery was smooth. DS was born with some breathing issues and eventually had to be transported to a different hospital. We found out he had a really severe GBS infection. I had tested negative. He stayed in the NICU for 11 days but is now a super active happy little boy.

We started TTC #2 in October 2010 when DS was about 10 months old. I got pregnant 4/11 -- miscarriage. Then had a chemical 12/11 and 1/12. I got pregnant again 2/25 and then had a missed miscarriage 4/16 at 11w2d and D&C 4/19. I have since found out I have a MTHFR mutation and am ANA positive. I am still waiting for a few more lab results but as of right now I am on low dose aspirin and folic acid and will start Lovenox after a BFP. I just finished my first post loss AF and we're going to start actively TTC again this cycle.

I already typed this once and it was deleted and I didn't save it... grrrr!

I'm Candis and I'll be 30 in July.  My husband just turned 30 this past weekend.  We'll be married 4 years in June, together for 7.5 years.  We decided to start trying for baby #1 in June 2009 and I found out I was pregnant the beginning of July.  So I got pregnant the first month trying- no charting, no monitoring, no meds.  I had a picture-perfect pregnancy, zero complications, and gave birth to DS at 40 weeks 4 days.  My labor was 9 hours and I pushed for 45 minutes, and had no complications at delivery.  Everything was perfect.

We've been trying since the beginning of 2011 and started seeing an RE at the end of December.  I'm now on clomid 25 mg for 3 days for hyperstimulation.  I have regular cycles, I ovulate on my own between days 15 and 21, and my LP was always 14 days (except my first clomid cycle, for which I am now on progesterone).  I have a diagnosis of unexplained 2IF, which is really frustrating because there is just nothing to blame, no course of action, no way of knowing why I'm not getting pregnant.  DH and I are both very active, healthy, we eat well, exercise regularly.  Our timing is pretty much perfect every month.

I'm thinking of taking a break this next cycle if I'm not pregnant, because this is really wearing me down.  I'm not doing well at all- gaining weight, depressed, fly-off-the handle mood swings, and this past weekend I even said to my husband (out of a rage, of course) that maybe everyone would be better off if I wasn't even around anymore.  I don't know if I meant it, it scared me that I even said it.  But I honestly feel like no one in my life gives a sh*t about me, and I never felt that way before.

I'm Heather (33 yrs) and DH is 37 yrs.  We have two beautiful sons ages 4 and 5.  Both boys were conceived within 3 months of TTC and the pregnancies were complication free.  With DS#1, I was induced and at 8 hours old DS was in respitatory distress.  He was transferred to another hospital with a level II NICU and was on a CPAP for 2 days.  At 8lb 10oz (born at 40w5d) he had underdeveloped lungs.  They were never positive of the cause of the breathing problems but undiagnosed gestetational diabetes was suggested.  I signed out of the hospital AMA 11 hours after delivery b/c they wouldn't transfer me to his hospital.  I had a fourth degree tear with many stitches.  DS#2 was born after an hour of labor in the hospital with no pushing.  The room hadn't even been set up yet and the doctor was changing in the room with us.  No one expected him to come so quickly.  LOL  We stayed in the hospital for 2 days and there were no complications with either of us.  I required 2 stitches.  He was 6lb12oz.

We started trying for #3 in January 2010.  We got our first BFP in March 2010, which ended with a m/c during DS#2 birthday party at 5w6d.  We waited 2 cycles (as advised by our doctor) and started TTC again.  We got another BFP in September 2010, which ended with a m/c at 5w4d.  Unfortunately shortly after I was laid off from my job so we were forced to take a 6 month break from TTC.  This time it took us awhile to get another BFP.  My cycles had changed with my losses and I was Oing much later then I did previously.  My LP was also significantly shortened (sometimes 5-7 days).  We got another BFP at the end of February 2012 and while I initially had slow rising betas (they did double every 48 hours however they were just not very high) the pregnancy seemed to be going well.  At my 9 week u/s (to date the pregnancy) they discovered I was likely having a missed m/c.  There was no fetal pole and no cardiac activity.  I had another u/s to confirm a week later.  At what should have been 12 weeks, I took cytotec and had another m/c.

We had basic testing after the second m/c in which everything came back "normal." After my third m/c my OB told me I was having "bad luck" since everything was coming back normal.  After being told that I scheduled an appointment with a RE on 5/7 for a second opinion.  We are just now finishing up the testing (many different tests then my OB had done) and so far everything is showing as normal.  We are still waiting on a couple tests (kerotyping and semen analysis) but I expect everything to come back normal and to receive no known cause of my reccurent m/c (setting myself up for worse).  I have a follow up appointment with RE tomorrow to discuss what may be the plan (if any-I don't know what type of plan you can have if the causes are unknown).

I have pretty normal cycles (28-33 days) and O on my own (between CD19-21).  My LP is short (>10 days) with spotting typically around CD9.  However my progesterone is normal.

Hi-- I'm new to this board, but I've been lurking for a week or so.  I don't even know if this is the right board for me and I hate to label myself -- or maybe I hate seeing that the label of IF might actually apply.  So if this isn't the right place for me, please let me know.

I'm 36, DH is 34 and our little guy will be 2 in August. It took us 22 cycles to get a BFP with our son.  I suspect I have/had some LPD based on my inconsistent and short LP.  I've charted for almost 3.5 years. But with our son, we were successful getting pregnant on our own-- just as we were about to begin testing with an RE.

In TTC #2, knowing our lengthy struggle to have our son, we decided to start trying as soon as my post-partum cycles returned.  We are now on cycle 16 or 17 with decent timing every cycle-- I've lost count. Although the first couple of post-partum cycles were weird and anovulatory, they returned to my usual pre-pregnancy patterns quickly.  I know I O, but my LP is still inconsistent and often pretty short.

I sought acupunture for fertility for the last 4 months, but it wasn't successful.  In fact, I think it messed with my cycles more than usual.

We want to consult an RE this fall to begin testing.  The only hitch (if it is a hitch) is that I am still nursing 2x a day.  I'd like to stop, but our son doesn't want to stop yet.  DH travels 4 nights a week, so it's hard to stop when I am the solo parent on these days.  My OBGyn doesn't think nursing is affecting TTC-- because my charts show I consistently O around the same time and that my cycles are generally consistent with pre-pregnancy.  I tend to agree based on my charts and I know it's possible to get KU while nursing.  My acupuncturist thinks that the elevated prolactin levels are inhibiting progesterone/implantation. I guess we will see what an RE says.

So here I am, struggling to conceive another. For some reason, I didn't expect that the struggle would be so difficult-- but it is.  Good luck, gals!

I'm Jen. DH recently turned 31 and I will be 31 soon as well. It took 5 cycles over 6 months to get pregnant with DD (I was 27 when I got pregnant with her). My cycles were all over the place and much longer than they are now, though I have the same 11 day LP when unmedicated. I had low progesterone with DD in the first tri, then low amniotic fluid starting around 35 weeks. Afterward I needed a D&C at 11 weeks post partum as there was a small piece of retained tissue.

We are now on cycle 15 TTC again and we are on a break this month while DH gets tested. (RE initially said "well you already have a baby so it's probably not him"-which kind of annoyed me!) I'm not sure what our next move will be. Have done 2 rounds of Clomid, plus one round of Clomid+Ovidrel. I *think* a lot of the problem is that I was ovulating when the eggs were too mature but I don't have any official diagnosis. If DH's test comes back ok, we may try one more round of Clomid+Ovidrel.

We are completely out of pocket and I just found out that to do injectables for one cycle it will cost around $2,000. If we do IUI on top of that it's another $620. Plus, I am a SAHM with no babysitter and I'd have to go in for about 5, 2-hour bloodwork/ultrasound appointments so I don't know how that will work aside from DH taking lots of vacation days. If we do move on to injectables, we may wait a few months so that DD would be older when we have the next baby. (If we have twins, I'd really prefer her to be a little older) I am feeling confused, overwhelmed, sad. My family doesn't really understand and it's hard to talk to them about all of this so luckily I have DH and one close friend who I can tell anything to. But this really sucks.

Hi! I'm Yunk (29) married to Mr. Yunk (32) for 3 years with a DD (2). We conceived DD after only 2 cycles of trying (just basing timing off of CM). I had a fairly easy pregnancy, but labor was a major B. I labored for 26 hours and only progressed to 7cm. So, I ended up with a c-section. After the c-section while they were closing me up they said that my uterus wasn't contracting properly. Evidently, it just cramped up but didn't un-cramp so they had to work it manually.

We started trying for #2 when DD was 10 months old. My pp periods were all over the place since I was still nursing. I waited about 6 months after I was done nursing to call my OB about my cycles (usual length was between 50-90 days). She did some basic testing and concluded I have PCOS. She had me start Metformin which helped regulate my cycles for the first 3 months. Then it stopped working. So, I went to clomid which I did for 2 cycles under the care of my OB. I've decided to stop clomid until I see a RE. I am continuing to take the Metformin though. :)

I am 31, DH is 32, and DD is 2.  We are coming up on our 8 year anniversary, and have known each other for 12 years.  It took us 3 years of ttc to get pregnant with DD.  DH had a varicocele repaired and was on clomid to raise his sperm count.  The pregnancy was smooth and uneventful.  I delivered at 37 1/2 weeks with no complications.

My period returned 3 months postpartum, and not wanting to waste time we began ttc again.  We waited until 1 quite nursing (a year after DD birth), at that time DH went back on clomid.  After trying that for several months, we went back to the urologist that helped us get KU the 1st time.  He referred us on to try IUI.  We have been to see 2 different RE's, trying to find one that works with our schedules.

We are doing our 1st IUI cycle with letrizole (Femara) as soon as I get my next period.  Best of luck to you all!

I'm Jen.  DH and I turned 33 in Dec.  We have a 3yr old DD (4/29) and she is our world.  I was really scared to become a mom so when I found out I was pregnant after the 1st try I was amazed.  In my mind I thought it would take a long time.

I've always had normal periods, ovulated on my own around day 13 and am otherwise healthy.  Since I assumed it would happen just as quickly the 2nd time, I didn't start trying until after her 2nd b-day (June 2011) in order to make them 3 yrs apart.  Man, was I mistaken.  I have quickly learned that my plan is not what God has in mind.  After 7 months of trying, I learned I was pregnant this past new yrs day.  A week later I had spotting, learned of a m/c and had a D&C. I saw an RE thereafter and did testing - All of our testing has come back normal.  I did 3 months or natural IUI (March, April, May), all with a good follicle and lining but had no luck.  2 of the months I had low progesterone and took prometrium.

This cycle is the 1st I am attempting Clomid.  I am on 50mg starting last Sun til Thurs.  I am scared out of my mind - scared of too many follicles, scared of multiples, scared of the side effects I hear about, scared of mu;ltiple months of this, scared of it not working, you name it.  That is my motto these days - always scared - and it's no fun living this way.

I pray we all have a success story to tell and this little bump in the road is just a small hardship in our path to peace.

I'm fairly new to the board.

We have been conceiving #2 since last summer. (see details in siggy) #1 was a piece of cake compared to what we're going through now but I'm trying to not dwell on that. If this next cycle doesn't work, we'll be taking a break and save for another IUI/injectables or IVF in the fall.

I'm new to the board.  I'm 34, DH is 35 and DS is almost 3.

We were married in 2006 and I was diagnosed with a brain tumor that year. It was non-cancerous and they just wanted to monitor it. The dr. told me to live my life, try to have a family if I wanted.  So, I stopped bc pills right away.  My periods had been regular my whole life and they started becoming longer and longer.  I was unable to get pregnant.  10 months later the tumor had grown quite large and I had to have it removed.  I never went back on bc pills and my period returned about 3 months after the surgery.  It was regular after that and about a year and a half later we decided to try again.  We were successful on the first month. So, I didn't think we had any issues.

I have not been back on bc since I had my son.  My period didn't return because of breast feeding until he was about 10 months.  We started trying again in December 2010, my cycles are regular, we always have good timing.  But, it just doesn't work.  I was diagnosed as slightly hypothyroid and have been on medication with my levels frequently checked. We are just in the beginning stages of testing to find out what is wrong.  My HSG was clear and we should be getting my husband's SA results any minute now.....

Anything we do will be completely out of pocket.  My insurance doesn't cover anything. So, I'm not sure how much we will be able to do. I guess we will get the diagnoses first and move on from there.

TTC#2 since December 2010. HSG and bloodwork all good. SA results not so good. Unmedicated IUI#1 6/19/2012 - BFN

I'm Bridget (36) DH (42) We started TTC in December 2003 right after we got married. During that time I had 5 losses and one failed ivf cycle and consulted with two different RE's. I was diagnosed with unexplained IF. After my failed ivf (in August 2009) we decided to take some time off before starting round 2. During that break I found out I was pregnant March 13, 2010 with my son who is now 18 months. I am still shocked and amazed that I got pregnant without medical intervention.

I started TTC#2 in June 2011 and went back to the RE in March. I am now on my third round of Clomid and if this fails I will take a month or two off and most likely pursue ivf.

I'm Amy (32), DH is 38. We have one DS who will be 3 in July. We got pregnant easily in April '08, but it ended in an early missed miscarriage (5/08.) DS was conceived easily a few months later and was born in July of '09. I got off BC in September of 2010 and there were months that we were much more dilligent (OPKs, charting, etc) and then some where we were just not careful. In October of 2011, we had some testing done and determined that there seem to be no concerns on my end, but DS had a varicocele and low motility and count. He had a procedure to correct the varicocele in March of this year and should be getting tested next month to see if we are improving the count and motility. After that, I'm not really sure what happens. I assume we will go to an RE and discuss our options. I find myself wondering how this happened and where we will go from here.

Here's to all of you ladies getting the families you so hope for soon.

I'm Meredith (37), DH will be 40 this summer, and DS just turned 2. DH and I have been married for 6 years and together for almost 11. When we were ready for kids I swore I'd get pregnant right away. We conceived DS with the help of an RE on cycle 18. I have PCOS and a short luteal phase.

DS was a rather intense baby, so we weren't ready to try again until he was 1  1/2. I went to an new RE in December 2011, but felt like we were trying to reinvent the wheel, so I went back to my original RE (who is an hour away) in April.

We are starting with the treatment we did when we got pregnant with DS and DH and I aren't comfortable with (or financially able to) go to ivf, so we are probably going to do treatments until early fall. At that point I think we will focus on our family of three. And ironically DS has just started identifying that other kids have brothers and sisters and he mentioned wanting a baby. Ugh. I almost burst into tears right then and there.

I'm Jenny (31) and DH is 30. We got pg very easily with DS, and started trying again when he was 18 months. My doc found a mass and said it needed to come out, so on cycle #4 of ttc #2 I had a lap (after a cp that cycle) and he found all my issues- stage 3 endo, adhisions, tumor. I got pg again after 4 cycles and miscarried at 12 weeks. We've been doing Femara + TI since then. I just had my second lap last week and he found stage 3 endo again. So now I'm all cleaned out and we'll be getting much more aggressive in the coming months.

    Hi,

I'm 29 and DH is 30. DS is 20 months and we got pregnant after 4 months of trying. Very uneventful pregnancy and labor.

Now we've been trying since December and have had 2 losses. I lost the first in January  at 6 weeks (i'm having a very difficult time with that one) and just had a chemical pregnancy in April.

I believe that i have always ovulated late, even with DS. But I got pregnant so I put it out of my mind until now.  The only difference is that my cycles (ever since the loss in January) are significantly shorter. They were aroun 30 days with DS to now 26 days, I'm scared and terrifed that I'll have another m/c.

I've now started seeing an RE because of the short luteal phase. OBGYN agreed that it's best. Next month I start Femara. Right now I'm in the 2WW period (although with me it's really 1 week). I O around day 19 and my period usually comes day 26. So I guess I'll start Femara in the next week or so...

My name is Kim and I am 30.  I have 2 little boys from a previous marriage (oldest just turned 7 and the youngest is 4).  I got pregnant with the oldest right after I went off birth control and it took me 2 tries for the second.  My current husband and I got married last summer and I told him I wanted to go off birth control (I hate being on it) and he reluctantly agreed (he knew I got pregnant easily with my boys and wasn't quite ready for that).  Little did he know that we would have issues.  After about 3 or 4 cycles (2 not actively trying) I just knew something was wrong and sent him to get a sperm analysis.  Everything came back great and so we waited a couple more cycles.  I went to my OB and let him know what was going on and he said I should probably see a RE, but maybe wait another cycle or two.  I asked if he could give me a post coital exam and so he did.  That was when we discovered that I had hostile cervical mucus towards DH's sperm.  I killed every last one of those little guys.  We then went to a RE and we are in our first medicated cycle.  He put me on clomid and I had to give myself a trigger shot and went in for an IUI.  I am currently 9 dpiui and am going crazy.  I really want this baby so bad.  I didn't have this strong desire for the other 2 since it happened so fast and it is really taking a toll on my emotions.  My DH is also getting pretty upset, although he is the more positive one between us.  Some days I just think it is so unfair that I got pregnant so easily with my ex (who is a complete a**hole) and I am having trouble conceiving with someone who would make a great father (he is wonderful with my kids).

I really hope this cycle is our time, even though I know it is a long shot for IUI to work on the first try.  We will be traveling in June, so we would have to take a break for a month and quite honestly I don't think I can handle the wait.  I keep telling myself that a break would be nice and I can enjoy drinking wine and eating whatever I want (we are going to Italy), but I would rather be throwing up with morning sickness and feeling blissfully miserable.

We are both 32 and got KU with DS after 3 cycles. We started trying for #2 when DS turned 1 (Nov '10, but had been off BCP since Aug '10). After 3 cycles I got KU again and it ended in an ectopic pregnancy and the loss of my left tube. I also have Stage IV endo and a twisted right tube. We did 3 cycles of Clomid and in Jan '12 went to an RE. We have done 1 cycle of IVF which resulted in a BFN and am waiting to start cycle #2.

We have an almost 5 year old son and a 2 1/2 year old daughter.  We had trouble conceiving DS - it took a little over a year and a few rounds of Clomid since I don't typically ovulate on my own.  DD was a very happy surprise.  I got pregnant again with no fertility meds, but miscarried at 10 weeks.  That was in Feb 11.   We waited two months and then started trying again.  This is my 10th medicated cycle and we'll be doing our second IUI this month.  DH was finally tested a couple of months ago and he now has low count and motility, so even though I am ovulating with meds, things are still not working.  I am emotionally worn out.  I go back and forth all the time over whether we should keep trying or just let it go and be a family of four.

I'm Jaclyn - 31 and DH is 32.  I went off BC after our wedding in 6/08, started Provera in 9/09, saw my RE, had BW & HSG in 1/10.  DH was tested and everything was fine on his end.  I apparently had no problems either so we were prescribed Clomid and Ovidrel to try for our next cycle.  We got pregnant about 2 weeks after my HSG naturally with our daughter who was born 10/10 at 40 w 3 d.  I was induced due to low fluid levels and labored for 36 hours total.  I had a 4th degree tear which was no fun at all.

We decided this January to try for number 2 although I never went back on BC.  Here we are 5 cycles in and I'm headed back to my RE next week.  I got my period back 3 months PP even though I breastfed for 13.5 months.  My cycles were almost all 30 days on the button until recently they've been 18 days which has been super awesome....

So frustrated to be back where we were with my first...everyone kept saying "after pregnancy your body will reset itself and everything will work" but I guess not....

    Hi!

I'm Annie (31) and DH is 32. It took 10 months of serious TTC to conceive our daughter. Was Dx'd with LPD (usually between 4-6 days) and put on progesterone for our tenth cycle and it did the trick! She was born in August 2009 at 40w 2d after being induced for Pre-ecclampsia and HELLP syndrome. No comment on L&D.

Didn't go back on birth control at all after she was born. Cycles returned in September 2010. Started seeing a ND a few months later to prepare my body for TTC again. Started actively TTC when DD weaned in May 2011. We got pregnant on our 3rd cycle, but sadly lost the baby early on. Continued TTC until February this year with TI and progesterone, and then saw a RE after that didn't work. We started testing and were suprised to find out that we were dealing with severe MFI! (Low count, motility, and morphology as well as high levels of anti-bodies) We were told that our only option is IVF/ICSI, which really is a huge blow considering that we were able to get pregnant twice without any treatment for DH! (Or even knowing that it was an issue. We never even did a SA before then. My old RE just looked at my charts and started progesterone for the first cycle to see if it would work!) For now, we're working with a ND to see if we can get DH's numbers up and anti-bodies down enough so that we can at least try IUI before busting out the big guns. His first appointment is next week!

I'm Erin (30), and my DH Chris (33) have a 3.5 year old daughter together. Like many others, got pregnant first try - no issues. We have now been trying to 12 months for our second and have been unsuccessful thus far... I just (yesterday!!) made our first RE appointment for 6/8 I am both excited and nervous for the appointment, and I'm really hoping to get some answers and a game plan so we can have #2 sooner than later.

I have been lurking on here for a while and am looking forward to getting to know everyone... hoping none of us are here very long!!

I am 30, and DH is 29. We conceived DD on our 2nd cycle off of birth control. We started TTC #2 last June/July (I'm don't remember when); neither of us expected to have an issue. I noticed in October that my luteal phase was short (8 days on average).

I started seeing my OBGYN for help in February. He prescribed me with progesterone supplements, but they only extended my LP to 10 days. He then offered me Clomid, but no monitoring, which I wasn't comfortable with. I saw a different OBGYN at my practice earlier this month; he ordered a semen analysis, HSG and progesterone level at 7dpo. HSG came back normal, my progesterone level was 2.9 (low), and the semen analysis showed borderline morphology.

I actually just saw an RE for the first time this morning, and I will be starting on Clomid and IUI with this next cycle.

I'm Jamie 37, DH 35. DS is 2.5 and was conceived first month. Great pg and delivery- pushed for 22 minutes;) TTC 2 since last year. Got pg in June- first try which ended in early mc. Then got pg next month without a period. Perfect pg until sequential screen came back and told me I had 1 in 9 chance for trisomy 18. Scheduled amino a few days later to find the baby had died at 17 weeks. That put me in a tailspin for many months. In Feb I was finally ready to try again but unsuccessful thus far. Decided to go to RE to make sure we didn't miss anything.,.we didn't it's just my age. Did find out that I have DOR do good thing I'm on the hands of an RE. Planning for IVF next cycle.

We're both 37.  It took a yr and a half to get pregnant with our son who is 5.  We found out we were pregnant right before the appointment with Re.  We have been TTC#2 since April 09.  Started with Re in July 2011.  After testing in August we were told our only option was donor egg ivf.  Tried ivf in December 2011-  nothing made it to be transferred.  Ivf in April was bfn.  Doing a frozen egg cycle on June 8th hopefully.
    DS#1 born 9/23/06
Twins DS#2 and 3 born at 31 weeks, 3 days due to a short cervix on 8/2/13.

We have been trying for #2 for over a year. We got pregnant with DD really easily, so we've been really frustrated trying for #2. I'm currently on my third cycle on Clomid, but DH also has low normal forms from his semen analysis so he is seeing a urologist to hopefully help. The next step for us is insemination.

This is my first time posting on this particular board and my first time posting on the bump in ages.

I'm A, 25, and married to J, 26. We have one DS, C, who is 3. We conceived DS while on the pill. I got back on the pill until March 2010 when we decided to TTC #2. We officially started in April. I had a regular cycle March and April and then they disappeared. I went to my OB/GYN and was diagnosed with PCOS. I had a full panel blood work up and and ultrasound to confirm. I got back to the doctor Friday to get a check up and start Clomid.

Hi, I am fairly new to the board.  I am 32, DH is 33.  I was on TTTC when I was trying to get pregnant with DD.  I got pregnant on my first cycle of femara.  I have a beautiful 10 month old daughter and we are ready to have another.  I do not have a specific diagnosis other that irregular periods, possible PCOS although my bloodwork and ultrasounds are always normal.  I am on my second month of femara TTC#2.

I hope you don't mind if I come back; I'm an oldie from ttc#2.

I'm 36, DH is 39, DS1 is 4 and DS2 is 17 mo.  It took me 18 cycles to conceive DS1. I had a LAP/HSC to remove uterine polyps and "a touch" of endometriosis.  I conceived the second cycle after my surgery w/o meds.  Uneventful pregnancy. I was induced, but had a "failure of labor to progress" so he was born via c/s at 41 wks weighing 8 lbs 6 oz.

I always wanted a 3 yr spacing between babies but knew it wouldn't be easy again so we began ttc#2 right around DS1's 1st b-day.  Eventually I received a diagnosis of Unexplained IF, there were no signs or symptoms that the endo or polyps had returned.  I moved on to an RE. I conceived DS2 on my first round of follistim, ovidrel, and TI. Another uneventful pregnancy.  I never went into labor on my own so I had a repeat c/s at 40 wks.  DS2 was 9lbs. 6oz. They are 3yrs 3 mo apart.

I've been ttc#3 since my first PP AF at 7 mo.  I weaned to start meds again. We had a consultation with the RE earlier this month and this cycle I'm doing a clomid challenge test. So far my numbers are w/i normal range.  I'm looking into family balancing options. My RE is recommending I switch to Letrozole or a lower dose of Follistim. I haven't made up my mind on that yet.

DH and I are both 32 with a DD that will be 4 in September.  Took 6 months to get pregnant with her (at the time if felt like fovever!) and had an uneventful pregnancy and birth.  I was induced two weeks early because of Pre-E but all went well.

Fast forward, started trying when DD turned 2 and here we are almost 2 years later.  I am in the unexplained category - all testing normal.  I did 5 months of clomid and have done 5 cycles of Femera, 2 Clomid IUI's and 2 Femera IUI's.

In February I started accupuncture and herbs for fertility but no luck yet.  We will not proceed to IVF for a number of reasons so this may be close to the end of the road for us.

I am 31, DH is 32, and DD is 2.5. It took two years to get pregnant with DD. I have PCOS and have very irregular cycles. With DD, we did clomid, injectibles, and 4 IUIs. We took a break before moving to IVF and that's when I got pregnant. This time we have been trying since December. I am on my second cycle of clomid.

Hi, I'm Kiki (34) DH is also 34 and DD is 16 months.  We tried for a year and had 3 failed clomid attempts before moving on to an RE.  I knew already that I had PCOS but we still underwent full testing to verify, I was on 1500mg ER Metformin during this time. 1st cycle of Clomid + IUI we got pregnant with DD.  We have been trying for #2 since she was 3 months since we know in an ideal world we would like 3 children, but have had no luck.  Back with RE and on Provera, next cycle is clomid + IUI again, hoping to get lucky.

I'm Stacey and I am 31...dh is 32 and we have a ds who is going to be 6 in July. I got pregnant with him on the 2nd cycle of trying. He was born at 33 weeks by a crash section. During the section, we found out that I have a unicorn uterus. In march of 2008 we started trying again and it took us till February of 2009 and a round of clomid to find out we were expecting again. Unfortunately, at the first ultrasound at about 10 weeks we found out it was a blighted ovlum. After two d & cs, and many more months of trying I started see an re...after many treatments and tears and another m/c, it was determined that I had ashermans syndrome and would probably never carry another baby. So, we are currently 9 weeks and 6 days pregnant via a gestational surrogate :)

Hi, I'm Blushy.  I got pregnant with G after TTC for three months.  I had the easiest pregnancy ever.  Two days before my EDD my water broke in the at 11 pm while sleeping.  After six hours of labor with pitocin, one epi and 15 mins of pushing G came into the world.

When she turned 1.5 we started TTC again cuz we had this "picture perfect" idea having our children 2.5 years apart.  6 months into TTC I knew something was wrong.  I knew our timing was spot on due to temping and using oks so sowing else had to be the issue. When I talked to the OB she believed that the issue was a polyp in my ute so she ran that test. When it came out all clear she told me try for another six months and come back then.

After four additional months of ttc with no luck I contacted a RE who diagnosed me with a Diminishing Ovarian Reserve.  My FSH level is a 12.4 and AMH is 1.2.  So that's that. :/

Me: 30, DOR with a FSH of 12.5
    DH: 31, no issues

Hi Ii'll be 27 this month, and my husband is 36. I knew I had PCOS prior to conceiving my son. With that in mind we were taking Metformin for 6 months prior to conception, although we weren't actively trying at least not compared to this go around. I actually found out I was pregnant with him the week before my scheduled ultrasound with the RE to discuss where our options, as my OBGYN made it clear we would need assistance to get pregnant. It was very surprising as I hadn't had a period in 4 months when I found out I was about 7 weeks pregnant.

Fast forward to know- we've been trying for just at a year. After 9 months of medicated cycles we found out we were pregnant (Feb 26th) and at 6 weeks I had a m/c. Were back on Clomid for one more cycle before moving on to another drug.

Since I'm completely out of pocket  we will not be pursuing IUI or IVF as options. I've recently been looking into adoption- but I'm not getting a warm fuzzy with any of the companies we've looked at.

Blessed with 2 amazing little boys. One grew in my tummy and the other my heart.

06/30/10 my 1st son was born on my birthday.

    I'm 37, dh is 42, dd is 3.5.

DD was a complete surprise. Weren't trying. Had sex once the entire month she was conceived and long before my fertile window. Angel

It took us 11 months to get pregnant the 2nd time and I miscarried at 6 weeks. That was 2 years ago.

I've done 3 rounds of clomid, had an HSG which showed a blocked right tube that they got unblocked. IUI with injectibles was recommended. Dh doesn't want to spend the money for chance. Sooo, I've tried every homeopathic thing under the sun. I am still considering acupuncture. I've had highs and lows and recently just a lot of lows. I'm trying to get to a place of acceptance and to move on and be happy.

It is plainly obvious both pregnancies were miracles and I need to put all this energy into my living miracle. It's just hard to let go of the dream, but my dreams have already come true. Smile
