Shooting pain into lady parts?

So the last three nights, I have had shooting pain when the baby moves that goes from my pelvis to my lady parts. It is pretty darn uncomfortable.  Is this normal? I am 36 weeks today.

    Yep.  My childbirth instructor said it happens to varying degrees with women depending on how many/how sensitive your nerves are in your cervix.  Its often your cervix getting ripe and/or more of those lovely round ligament pains or a combo of both.

    Agreed. I enjoyed this pain at the grocery store last week. People were probably like what the heck is wrong with that girl. LOL!

    Ive been getting this every once in a while for the last week or so...It's mostly when I'm walking and usually when I step with my left foot....It hurts!!! The other night when I left work it happened and it seemed like the longest walk ever to my car.  Not cool!!

    yep, here too.  As 2 posters described, the term "lightening crotch" fits it pretty aptly.  I get it mostly at night.

    It's the baby's head putting pressure on your cervix.  Quite normal.  And lightning crotch is definitely the best description for it.
