BFing Mamas: Irregular periods??

So we are still BFing, not as much as we us to, but we still do. I got my period 6 week post postpartum and he was nursing strong... I wasn't one of the lucky ones, however they have been very irregular. My cycle use to be 30 day apart before D, but now they are crazy. Some months are 26 days and some are 34 days. Is anyone else experience a crazy cycle? I am now on my 4th day late... and no sign of AF... I POAS before because of this crazy cycle. Frankly... they are pretty expensive those PT! If it isn't here by Monday I'll get one.

    Same thing happened to me. I BF... got my period around 6 months PP, and then another 28 days later, so I figured I was back to my old ways. But the next one was over a week late, and shorter. They've been all over the place. I also thought I was pregnant. But I was too in denial to take a test :)

    I stopped BF a few weeks ago (and I'm now pregnant, wahoo!) but I got my period when DD was 7 months. My period was ALL over the place... ranging from 28-38 days. totalyl normal!

    I've only had one PPAF and it was like 2 1/2 weeks ago. I hope my cycle is going to be normal, because otherwise DH and I may have done something stupid a couple nights ago. Whoops! We really want to conceive in July (perfect timing for a teacher,) so it wouldn't be that big of a deal, and we knew the risk at the time just decided we didn't care.

    Mine is super funky too.  I won't go into all the TMI but good grief.  Sometimes it's early other times it's super late.  I've done the POAS thing several times too because I'd get so worried.  I've also had some pregnancy symptoms with it which always throws me off but no baby here.

    Yeah my cycle makes absolutely no sense right now. Like you, I got AF at about 6 wks pp. I have had varying lengths from 28 days up to a 50 day cycle for no reason (that freaked me out). 

    Of course, I didn't have a very predictable cycle to begin with, until I got on the pill.

    Yes. I'm still breastfeeding and mine returned 4 months PP. The cycle lengths have been variable (4-6 weeks in length) ever since.

    I got mine back on Valentine's Day, and haven't had it since. 
    We are weaning, so I'm hoping it comes back with vengeance so we can have baby no. 2 soon!

    I got mine back at 4 months PP and it was pretty regular. Always 28-32 days. Then in January it started getting wonky (so 4 months later) and I ended up pg in February because we weren't careful enough. So I'd say it's normal for them to be irregular, just be careful if you're still TTA.

    Oh heck yes. I got my first one a little over a month ago. I've gotten it twice since then and I'm about to start AGAIN. Ugh. Well at least I know I'm not pregnant...

    Also, the cycle that I got KU w/ DD, I was absolutely 100% convinced that AF was coming. All my early PG symptoms seemed like pre-period-ness. So now every stinkin' month I get AF symptoms and become convinced that I am KU again. Jeez, I seriously need to stop having imaginary pregnancies! (We are using condoms, so not the most reliable BC method).

    Well we are using the 'pull and pray' method... and I think we may have had an accident (on his part!) in the red zone! HAHAHA I'm trying to NFP... but with being late and having heat flashes here at work I think I may POAS soon... we will see...

    Are you trying to get pregnant? If you are then taking multiple tests seems like a waste to me! And if you're not.... Well then it's already done and multiple tests still seems silly ;) I would just wait, and if you weren't trying to get pregnant, just be more careful next time! Good luck mama!

    Still no AF here.  I don't think it's a waste to POAS... since I still don't have AF, and because I drink (moderately, but I wouldn't want to drink at all during 1st trimester), I POAS every so often just for peace of mind.
