So I'm wondering how much your baby weighs. MyLO will be 3 months on sunday and is weighing about 13 pounds. Is he too big? I hope not. Also how much is your LO eating?
I'm not positive about her weight because she hasn't been weighed for a month, but I think she is about 13 pounds and she is 3 months old. Not sure how much she eats because she is EBF.
Well if your LO is too big then I guess mine is way too big! lol. Isaac at his 2 month appt was 13#7oz and is now close/barely over 14#. I think being "too big" depends on how big at birth. Isaac was 9#1oz at birth. So he was big to begin with. If you think he is too big ask at his next appointment but most likely he's just fine. Judging from your siggy pic he isn't too big though (and he is a cutie!). Oh and Isaac is a piggy. Sometimes he eats 7-8oz at a time. He doesn't do it a lot but every once in a while. But normally its only about 5 or 6oz at a time. Oh and my pedi has nothing wrong with his weight because he was big at birth. So according the her he is fine!
You should read the 'check in' post below. Lots of weights have been posted there.
Too big? DS2 weighed that much at 1 month and is over 17lbs right now. My ped has no concerns. He's BF on demand, so I don't know how many ounces he eats per day.
Ideally, a baby's birth weight should be doubled by 6 months and tripled by a year. It is more of a concern for a baby to be under weight. A high weight doesn't really have cause for concern until after 1 year old/very mobile. Then, your ped will look at weight relative to height.

Exactly. My doc said as long as they're following the same height and weight curve, they're on a good path. You don't want to be in the 10th percentile for height and the 95th for weight-- that's when you may want to double check with the doc.
I did a lot of reading and worrying about weight because I also have a 17 pounder right now but he's also a little over 27 inches so he's proportionate. He actually doesn't even look like a chubby baby. My best friend said he looks like a thin 5 month old, lol.

My baby is tiny and we may have to start supplementing with formula according to the doc at her 2 month appt.
She is only 8 lbs. Was 6 lbs 14 oz when born 9 weeks ago.
