All joking aside
Here it is. My last post about it.
Most people seem to think I maliciously attacked Lawren for her post. Now that it's been DD'ed, there's not even any real proof, just a bunch of people congratulating her for rising above my petty comments and her thanking everyone for support.
For the last time, I stated the rule. I told her she could break it if she so chose, but that I wanted her to be informed. Again, we don't have a mod, so we depend on each other to moderate the board. I don't believe I was anything but respectful in my initial posts, but I was certainly treated as though I was. Nobody has really pinpointed anything I said that was over the line, but apparently my tone was mean. If you've intrepreted it that way, then I do apologize. It was certainly meant apathetically enough.

While its not my style to tell anyone that what they are doing is wrong or right, I didn't think your initial statement was offensive at all. You were the first to comment so maybe that added to the police like tone.
Personally I find your statement no different than those who constantly remind us breast is best, CIO is wrong, co sleeping is dangerous, etc. While I don't necessarily disagree, I have better things to do than regulate people and the way they parent. We are all taking the time to be on this board out of love for our babies and to educate ourselves to parent them the best way possible through love and support of others just like us. At least that's why I'm here.
Cmon ladies...lets give livinginashoe a break. You cannot honestly say that you haven't ever said or did something that came across wrong. We are all glad that Lawren posted her etsy and i do not believe anything was meant to be personal. So everyone lets just forget about it, move on, and play nice. We have bragged about how we aren't like the other boards so lets keep it that way.
I also didn't see anything malicious in livinginashoe's initial TOS post. While I agree with PP it isn't my style to regulate others, I was surprised at the blowback she got. Her post seemed ignore-worthy if anything.
But then I read her prior post where she said another poster was being ridiculous for being excited her DD waved and I realized there may have just been pent up hostility toward livinginashoe for being a $&*waffle elsewhere. She's totally out of line and hopefully we can all ignore her in the future.
STILL, I think she brought up one good point that maybe we could use to grow- this board is kinda clicky. I bet if a popular poster had made the same point about the TOS she wouldn't have gotten flamed for it.
I only care because I have felt for a while that there are many of us who are frequent posters on here who are treated as outsiders. I think it's because we don't have LO photos in our siggy pics for whatever reasons so we don't get remembered and counted as one of the bunch. I come here to give and receive love and support and have done that every day for a year now. And I have on a couple of occasions felt bullied here - I think largely because nobody remembers me even though I have been here since the start since I don't share LOs name and photo.
Anyhow, just something I think is worth considering.

mintea, anybody that has Ryan Gosling memes in their siggy's is a winner in my book. I can't tell you how much time I've wasted looking through those things.
After she commented the way she did to my waving post - I tried to bury the hatchet because she seemed to be helpful and nice elsewhere. She just doesn't act the same way I do with baby things as a FTM which is understandable. I think she went a little overkill with the retorts though - which is where it becomes drama. Same with the etsy post. Even I thought to myself (right before the drama), this is against the rules - but we know it's not spam, so I don't care. Yes the rules apply to everyone, I just think she could have said it differently - OR just let it go. She informed her - like she said was all she wanted to do! She didn't have to get into it like she did. That's where it gets ugly. I don't think it would have blown up like it did had she let it go. just my thoughts.
