Baby story on tlc

Anyone else watching the 7:30 baby story episode? Frustrated me so much that doctor. He rushes delivery and then gets to go right to a c-section. What an idiot? And the. Says we're protecting the baby. Bs! Your an idiot.

    What he really should have said was "we are protecting my ass...if something goes wrong now you can't sue me!"

    Same here, and I agree.  It's one of my biggest pet peeves!  I get frustrated when mom's say the don't want to take birthing classes or do anything to learn because they trust their doctors and nurses. The frustration comes from knowing that they should be able to trust them!  They don't know that their dr is ruled more by fear of litigation than what actually might be best for the patient.  Nurses are ruled by hospital policy and doctors orders...we are supposed to be patient advocates, but sadly it doesn't always work that way.
