I'm throwing a baby shower!!!

I'm throwing my best friend a shower the end of June and was hoping everyone could give me ideas for games and or something to keep everyone entertained.  The one thing I do know is that I already got her her shower gift by telling her I'm 6 weeks pregnant today!  We always used to say we wanted our kids to grow up together so she was pretty excited.  Anyways!  Back to the shower!  I am throwing it at my house and will have snacks and plenty of room to play whatever games.  All ideas are welcome! Thanks :)

    Measure the bump and ask people to bring diapers with their gifts.

    Game ideas: match the celebrity baby name to the celeb. I enjoyed playing guess the melted chocolate bar or baby food in a diaper.  One of my favorite 'busy' activities is to decorate a diaper w/ sharpies. Guests can write a phrase, draw pics, etc...Someone once drew a tramp stamp which rec'd a big laugh.

    The baby shower board has great ideas. Most are you going to tell you asking guests to bring diapers on top of a gift is tacky and gift grabby.

    I just had my baby shower, and one thing my friend found at Michaels was this kit to set up a laundry line with onesies, bibs, etc made out of paper. We had our guests write a message to the baby to put in her scrapbook.  It came with clothespins to hang up so everyone could read the messages afterwards.  It was a big hit, and something that is different.

    I have done one where you get the plain white diapers and markers. Set them out in a basket and have all your guests write funny messages on them throughout the party. Gives mom and dad a good laugh during those crazy first few weeks of endless diaper changes.

    Please DON'T do this... It is so humiliating to the mom-to-be at a time when she may not be feeling her best.

    At my shower, we played scategories, with guests coming up with names of items that started with baby's initial(s) EG: Name a piece of maternity clothing, something baby needs, baby food etc. The guest only got a point if they named something that someone else did not name, so the challenge was to think of something unique... It went over very well and was tasteful.
