Fussy baby - on Zantac a week and not much better

Last week DS2 was diagnosed with reflux and the pedi put him on Zantac twice daily.  Initially it seemed like Zantac helped but for the last two days seems to sleep and cry with a 5 minute rest to gear up to cry again.

I have a call into the pedi but was wondering what you ladies suggest, it is so hard seeing LO miserable.  Should we go see a pedi GI? or maybe avoid milk? Not sure if I should avoid hidden dairy or just dairy products... or is there some other product that works well for other reflux Mom's.

We have tried - putting bassinet on incline, Zantac, keeping LO upright after meals, bouncy chairs, RNP, swing, car seat, moby wrap, gas drops, gripe water... the only way to soothe him (and it only works sometimes) is to rock him holding him vertically...

Our daughter was also recently put on zantac, and our pedi said to give it a good 2 weeks to see if it would help.  The zantac does seem to help, and we're also doing the gas drops, as well as keeping her up for at least 45 minutes, either on our chest or in the RNP.

Do you give him a pacifier?  I've read that the sucking may help with their reflux as well right after eating.

Look into infant chiropractic. It sounds weird, but I know people who got their babies off of zantac with it. It's not like adult adjustments!

Our pedi also told us it can take 2 weeks for the meds to work really well.  You might call about upping the dosage though. My pedi also said dosage is somewhat guess and check... There is a large range for acceptable doses.
