DS has a dairy allergy, and we've started giving him soy milk, which he likes. He still nurses 5x a day, but I'm planning on weaning in the next six months. When he's weaned, how can I make sure that he'll be getting the fat he needs without WCM? I know about olive oil and avocado, but are there any other ways? Thanks!
Re: Need Ideas for Added Fat re: Dairy Allergy
Those are my go-to's for good fats. Have you tried googling sources of good fats? Might offer some more ideas. I also do fair amounts of Sun Butter and Almond Butter (DD has peanut allergy).
One of the moms on this board shared a great snack idea: a scoop of almond butter rolled in rice crispies, those make a great snack for fat & protein.
