Do others still struggle with short naps either due to teething or other milestones? Do you stick to 2 naps regardless or have some 3 nap days and if you stick to 2 how long does lo go before bed?
DD1 was a short napper for a very long time. We tried to stick to 2 naps a day so we didn't interfere with bedtime, but if she woke from the second nap more than 5-6 hours before bedtime, I would give her a third nap, about 30 minutes just to get her to bedtime. I always made sure she had at least 3 hours of awake time before bed, though, or she would have taken forever to fall asleep. She eventually started taking more normal length naps around 10 months and then the 2 nap schedule worked much better for us.

Yep. We struggle. She's always been a short napper but it's worse now that we're getting like 4 teeth at once.
I never got too worked about nap schedules. I refuse to listen to a baby be cranky becuase she needs a nap. That and when you don't feel well don't you want to rest?
2 naps, 3 naps...whatever it never made that big of a difference to me.
My only rule is on days she has a 3rd nap which is about (330ish..I will wake her after an hour so she'll go to bed by 7:30 still). I will say I've been lucky though..when it's bedtime, it's bedtime for LO no matter what happened earlier.
We thankfully haven't stuggled too much with naps, even while teething with 3 on the way right now. Our son is staying to two naps a day and they are usually anywhere from 45min to 1.5hrs (sometimes 2hrs). His last day nap is around 4-5pm and he is usually in bed by 9-9:30 those days. On days that his second nap runs late, like around 6ish, he gets to bed around 10-10:30ish.
