Disney

For those who've been to Disney World in Orlando - where did you book through?  Expedia, Disney.com, etc?  We are thinking of taking our 10 year old this summer (the babies will not be going this time)...just don't know where to begin on how to book a Disney trip.

Re: Disney

  • When DH and I went a few years ago we went through AAA.  They seemed to get us the best deals.

  • We went last June, and i booked through Disney.com.  I have talked to several people about their experience, and I feel like we got just as good a deal as anyone.

We just went to Disney @ the end of April.  Are you planning on staying @ one of the Disney resorts?  There are many benefits to doing this, however it was MUCH cheaper for us to stay off property in a condo.  We got a condo for under $600 for a week.

here has discount tickets, it's where we got ours.  You won't need to do this if you book and are staying on a Disney resort as it will be cheaper to get tickets when you book resort.

here are the current special offers.

We definitely did our trip on a budget and had a great time!  If you let me know your specific plans, I can better help.

    Are you flying or driving?
Are you staying on property or off property?
If off property, are you willing/able to cook meals @ your condo?
Are you planning to visit all 4 Disney parks?
How many days will you be there?
How many days do you plan to be in the parks?

  • I would book through Disney. Their people are usually really great helping make decisions about where to stay, where to eat and what sort of tickets to buy. And if you know of somewhere that you want to eat...make the reservation as soon as possible!!! But if the place you want is booked, again, they have been so helpful to us in the past recommending an alternate that turns out to be great. Have fun!!!
