No really though, Ghosts, Aliens? Mermaids?
Who believes, who doesn't and why?
I think we would be really naive to think that we are alone in this great big universe and in the great big ocean, however I have a harder time believing in Mermaids than the ghosts (which I totally do believe in) and Aliens.
My husband dvr'd a show about mermaids and I think it was somewhat made up...although it was supposed to be real...
Re: Who believes in Aliens?? (NBR)
Ghosts yes, aliens yes, mermaids no.
Ghosts I kind of feel like everything comes from a kernel of truth. Every generation of society has believed in ghosts of some form. How are we to discredit or disprove.
Aliens, absolutely. Space is far too vast for us to be the only living thing. Now I have no idea what life forms exist but again it's hubristic of us to think we are the only ones who have ever or will ever exist.
Mermaids...ehhh....I think those were manatees drunk, lonely pirates mistook for fish women.
Mermaids - no
Aliens - um, possibly
Ghosts - yes, but I'd rather not believe in them because just the though of them scare the shiit out of me.
Yes to ghosts and aliens. No to mermaids.
I've had one too many paranormal experiences to not believe, especially after my dad died.
As far as aliens, I don't necessarily think they take the shape of a human with a green face and huge eyes, but I do believe, without a doubt, that other lifeforms exist.
Mermaids, no. But I'd like to see this documentary proving their existence!

This was a Science Fiction show, it's not real.
Aliens, yes. The universe is so gigantic, I doubt we're the only planet with life. Although, I don't necessarily believe they're the kind that is always depicted in movies...
Ghosts, maybe. I don't really think so, but who knows.
Mermaids, no.
Aliens - Yes. Whether we have had contact is another question.
Ghosts - Absolutely. I've had a few personal experiences as have some people I am very close to.
Mermaids - Eh. Probably not, but I'm not saying absolutely not.
This. One time I was staying with my college boyfriend's parents in some old house in Maine and they told me they had ghosts in their house and it freaked me out SO MUCH especially when the door kept randomly opening in my bedroom at night. They swore they were friendly ghosts but still, crrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeepy!
Aliens- Yes, if any one has seen the movie the Fourth Kind, it really changed my opinion and freaked me out!!
Ghosts- Yup
Mermaids- I also saw the show and thought it looked kinda made up too, but part of me maybe believes a little bit, just a tiny little bit. LOL
This was a Science Fiction show, it's not real.
Was it really? MH told me it was a real show that they had done all this research! What a dorkfish. I didn't watch it so I wasn't sure! LOL, I feel like a goober!
Love this question! I'm with just about everyone else: ghosts - yes, aliens - yes, mermaids - no.
I believe that there are spirits/ghosts and that sometimes people can see and hear them. I've had a few experiences myself where I have heard something I shouldn't have heard and may have seen something that shouldn't have been there. And that prickly feeling on the back of your neck when you turn the light off right before leaving a room? I think there is something to that as well.
I am certain we are not alone in the universe. There would be no reason why only one planet would have had life on it, no matter how you believe it came into existence. Do I think they have visited us? Probably not, but there are a lot of questions about that, so who really knows?
Mermaids, I think, were totally made up by drunken sailors. I do think there are sea creatures we haven't seen yet, and may never see. I kind of like the idea that there are things about our world that we still don't know all about.
