Doctor called back

So my doctor called me back. She says that this is pretty much a waiting game and the she is frustrated for me to. She said if my levels are still in the the 300's next week she will consult a specialist but for now at least it is going down. She doesn't want to do any additional procedures because of the risks they involve. So as long as my levels keep going down and don't platuae or go back up this is it. Just waiting. I also asked when I can expect AF after my numbers go to 0 she said usually 2-4 weeks but all bets are off with me! Crying

So I think I'm still looking at 1-2months for AF to show. I have never wanted her to show up so freaking bad in my life.

That is so weird. And she doesn't have any explanation for why they're going down so slow? At least they're going down I guess.

That is so good that your Dr is personal with you and honest. I am glad that they are going down but FX that they go down quickly for you and AF shows up soon. Any waiting game sucks a**!

I'm glad you were able to talk to your doctor. I'm sorry that your numbers are taking so long to drop but it looks like you at least have a plan in place if they stop dropping. I hope that your AF shows up sooner than 1-2 months. (((hugs)))

On a different note, have you thought of any places to meet in a few weeks?

I haven't really. My mom's birthday is this weekend so I was busy with that. I was thinking we could do a lunch at 12:00 downtown. Or there is always Casa Bonita! That just came to me. But I love the place, not for food, but for good times. Just a thought. Let me know if you have any ideas.

Ugh, I am so sorry that you are going through this. That is so frustrating. I'm glad that your doctor is keeping a close eye on you, I really hope your betas start dropping faster and that AF gets her butt in gear!

I'm glad she called you back, but I'm sorry your going through this. What a trial! Ugh. I have my FX for a big drop next week, but if not, you should make sure she follows through and gets a specialist consulted for you.

I'm so glad that your doctor isn't blowing you off, and in all honesty, there's not too much she *can* do. It's good that she'll consult a specialist if your numbers haven't dropped considerably by next week, though.

I'm sorry - waiting is one of the hardest parts of the process. Once your levels drop to 0, you could ask your doctor about a round of Provera to get things going. I had to do that after waiting about 2 weeks with no AF so we could start back cycling.

I am so sorry. My miscarriage in April '11 resulted in beta hell. I just sat and waited. They would go up a couple numbers and then down and then up and then down. It was terrible. It took my body a while to figure it out and that drove me NUTSO!! I am so sorry you have to deal with this. It totally makes you want to say WTF??? After all this at the very least let me get back to normal. ((Hugs))
