Nipple Flow

I EP & my DS is 3 1/2 months old.  My DS is usig the slow nipples but i was hoping to start using medium flow.  WHen did you guys switch?  It just seems to take so long to feed him his bottle.  I was thinking this would be a good switch.  Any negatives to switching?

    I switched when DD turned 3 months exactly bc she was getting frustrated with the slow flow.  She now finishes her bottles in half the time and no problems so far.  She probably would have been ready around 10-11 wks.

    Make the switch and  see how your LO handles it. Right after we switched I had an incident where DD choked, she was use to having to suck with all her might to get milk and then all the sudden it was coming fast. She gagged spit up all over and I freaked out.

    That only happened once and we are still using the medium to fast flow nipples, she eats in half the time.

    We have switched too (around the three month mark), and my son seems to be more gassy. However, that may or may not be related to the nipple flow.  Other than that, the transition seemed pretty easy.
