Normal if I had LO with me, but...

in Parenting after a Loss

Sometimes, I find myself humming or bouncing as if I'm putting DD to sleep, but I'm just out and about.

I often whisper as to not wake her up, but I'm at work.

Today I said, "Momma is going to the bathroom, I'll be right back. Be a good girl, ok?" I was with my eighth grade class.

    I sway back and forth during meetings as if I have LO in my arms.  The funny part is, the other moms in my department often join in!

    I often say momma. Like momma be right back or momma's not havin' any of that...usually to myself at work. I also sway often.

    One day I was grocery shopping and I had stopped to look at something. It took a few minutes for me to realize i was still pushing the cart back and forth like I do with the stroller when we stop.

    I sit in the recliner and rock like I'm holding him even when he's sleeping down the hall and we still whisper like we are going to wake him up from the other end of the house.

    I sing the songs we have made-up for DD to myself when it's just me (in the car, just around the house, etc...).  The price we pay for creating catchy tunes :)

    I find myself swaying a lot...like I used to do when I held DS when he was really little. I drive myself crazy doing that. I don't even sway him anymore anyway, he's too big for that!

    I kinda freak out when I'm driving and don't hear anything coming from behind me.  I check my mirror often to see if he is alright, only to remember that he isn't actually back there.
