I went for my second sonogram at 8.5 weeks, and we found out we are having identical twins. We have been trying for baby # 2 for 2 years now. The sonogram two week ago only showed one baby. Anyway, do Identical twins always share the same sac? I thought they are supposed to form their own sacs. Ours are in just one sac, and we don't know if there is a membrane in between them yet.
Thanks!

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929
Congratulations! Most ID twins will develop a membrane that divides the sac (usually seen via u/s around 12-18 weeks) and will be mono/di twins. If you post over on the multiples board the great ladies there have a diagram to explain
My girls were mono/di and they required a little bit more monitoring and my Dr delivered mono/di at 37 weeks and di/di at 38. Not too much difference.
Unexplained Infertility
After two Clomid cycles, three injectable IUI cycles, two IVFs, two miscarriages, and one lap surgery, IVF #2 has brought us our little boy!
TTC #2
After months of being postponed or cancelled, FET #1.3 (Natural FET) brought us twin girls!
My girls were Mono/di, they were in the same sac but had a membrane, shared a placenta, which is where my issues came in. Savannah baby A was getting more than baby B.
Please make sure you see a MFM and not just an OB, ID twins can be scary pregnancies.
But ID twins are awesome
wouldn't change a thing!!
if you get bored I talk all about the pregnancy in my blog and everything I went through.
