Stroller/Travel System...

What kind do you have? Or registered for? How much research did you do? What is/was your price range?

I was kinda looking at one on Baby Universe- the Acella Sport Travel System. It is on sale for 139.99 and I have a code for 20% off... The reviews just say it is a no frills deal.

Re: Stroller/Travel System...

  • We registered for the Bumbleride Flyer. ?It handles really well, has a reversible handle, is compatible with almost all the infant car seats and got really good reviews in Baby Bargains. ?It's a little pricey, but it goes up to 45 lbs so we'll be able to use it for a while.

  • Graco Metrolite travel system which includes the snugride infant seat.

we looked at babies r us reviews, consumer reports, and the baby bargains book.

It was really important for me to buy a stroller the baby could use AFTER he/she outgrows the infant carrier, and something that was lightweight and compact to fold up. I wasn't looking for anything designer or fancy, but if it's more expensive than other models I didn't care, just looking for something that will hold up well.

  • The Graco travel system in Deco. ?It is $250! Very pricey but It has good reviews.
  • I registered for a Graco Safe Seat infant seat and the stroller frame. Much lighter than a big travel system. Then I registered for a Combi Cosmo EX stroller for when the baby can sit up.

  • I got the Chicco Cortina travel system.  Not only did consumer reports rate it number one, but my friends with babies have it and they loved it.
  • we decided on the bumbleride flyer and ended up finding a great deal on a gently used one on Craigslist so we jumped on it.  I love it.  Maneuvers easily, looks great, has tons of cool features (I particularly love the reversible handle) and even though it was used it was in great condition.  The mom who had it before us took really great care of it.

  • another one for Chico Cortina here! :)  I like the colors, very neutral & it's safety rating did it for me.  I've seen people w/ them out and asked how they liked them & it's been unanimous love.

  • We just bought the Metralite Fastfold system...it includes the stroller and newborn carrycot, and it's compatible with the Graco snugride (the travel component).

It's designed for use from newborn up to about 4 years.

    We got it in Black.

  • Oh.  And i've seen the prices range from 400 to 550.

It's also compatible with the Maxi-Cosi Mico carseat.

  • I had a Graco for my first DD.  It was OK but for #2 & #3 I'll be doing the carseat (Peg Perego) & Snap-N-Go (or Joovy Caboose since I have a small child still) & then I use Maclarens when they are older (6+ months).  It's just so much lighter than the travel systems.

  • We've heard such good things about the Chicco system as well. That's what we'll be getting. We thought it handle well, plus you can get a system where the car set goes up to 30 lbs.
  • We ended up getting a Graco metrolite travel system. The snugride carseat was highly recommended to us, and we found the stroller light weight, but sturdy enough to handle the roads near our house.

  • Graco metrolite- good reviews, and the stroller is so much smaller and lighter than the other Graco travel systems! It's nice! Can't say much for it as we don't have the kid here yet though!
