LO doesn't want to be held.

My LO is 7 weeks old and over the last week or so I've been noticing that she doesn't like to be held.  I nurse her and burp her and then I always want to snuggle her for a while but she starts to cry right away. I lay her down and she settles right down. She'll lay on the floor and stare at her toys and talk to them and giggle at them.  I get down on the floor and play with her but I want to hold my baby! Anyone else noticing this?

    Yup.  Enjoy it!  Take the time to go to the bathroom or eat.

    DS usually doesn't like to be snuggled either. I always feel somewhat bad when I hear how other LO's only sleep on their moms. I wish DS would do that!! I will try and he'll kick and cry and then I put him in his swing and he calms down and falls asleep. Only lately has DS let me snuggle him - but I think he's going through something, but I'm enjoying the cuddles for now! And I do enjoy that I can get things done too...but I too want to hold my baby!

    Mine is like that sometimes. He likes to be placed on a throw pillow and be held around his waist in a sitting position. He likes seeing the room, not the ceiling. It is probably over stimulating, but he likes it and if we attempt to hold him like a baby, he fusses.

    My LO is like this too. God forbid you hold him cradled in your arms... She freaks. She likes it best up on the shoulder so she can look around. I get no snuggles from her... It makes me sad sometimes but somewhat happy that she is so "independent" and wants to just be left alone to do get own thing.
