Tubes tomorrow--any tips?

Dr. Gower is putting in tubes tomorrow at Meridian Mark--I think Harlie's getting yet another ear infection so it's just in the nick of time.

Any tips about the day of surgery?  We're a little apprehensive about how she's going to deal with no food or drink beforehand and how she'll feel afterwards.

Thanks!

You should be pretty close to first since she's under 2. Neither of my boys really noticed not getting their milk. We pretty much took them straight from the crib to the car and into Merdian Mark. The Merdian Mark surgery center is really nice. DS2 had his 1st set put in there back last year. Just be prepared for the coming out of anesthesia. DS1 has a hard time waking up and cries a lot. DS2 did better with his first surgery then his big brother but it was still rough. By that afternoon both of them were pretty much fine through.

G had tubes put in around 17 months at meridan mark. DH went back as they put him under. He said it was hard to see but fast. The surgery went quickly which was nice. It took G awhile to come out of the anesthesia. He was very grumpy for awhile but by evening was back to normal. The tubes have been great. No problem since. It was such a relief.
