I get why people don't CIO, I do, especially on young babies.... but I don't understand the martyrdom of not sleep training. When I see this phrase "If my kid gets up several times a night until they're two, that's fine with me" I think, really? How is that better? So you'd rather them get up every night, crying or otherwise needing to be soothed back to sleep, never getting a full night of uninterrupted sleep because that's somehow better than a week's worth of sleep training? That seems far more "damaging" to me than CIO. Shrug.
Not directing this at anyone here, just read it on a blog the other day and was scratching my head.
Hot tuna, or even warm for that matter, is disgusting. Tuna melts, tuna casseroles etc should be banned from existence.
DH's favorite MRE in the Marines was tuna noodle casserole
I also think it's gross when people put ice cubes in milk. Watery milk? No thanks! But then again, I don't like ice period. Unless it's in a fountain soda or iced coffee.

I don't like air conditioning most of the time. Even if it is in the 90s I prefer having my doors and windows open. My family thinks I am crazy and cheap.

Agreed 100% I know someone who was still rocking her two and half year old to sleep every night and dealing with night wakings. She was talking to me because she was pregnant with #2 and didn't know how she was going to deal with both of them. I offered her my copy of Ferber and said she couldn't let her 2.5 year old CIO so she would just continue to rock.... Really? I'm sorry I don't agree with sleep training a really young baby, we did it at 9 months and it was totally worth it.

I like my Tuna fresh, in steak form, and seared rare or rare--sushi style. I rarely eat canned. To me, it's just not Tuna at that point.
I love ice! I have a bad habit of eating it. My tea, especially, must be iced and there should never be an excessive amount of tea compared to the amount of ice.

maybe it's a Texas thing. I basically want my ice water to be a water flavored sno cone. Fill all the way up with ice, splash on some water, go!
I don't get these 'Mommy Wars'... REALLY? Why do we have to be separated by what the media is tell us! I mean really? Are we not supposed to teach our children kindness and caring? I mean do we really have to 'bully' each other because one parents does something different then another? Every mother is Mom Enough in my eyes (other then that one that drinks and do drugs of course)... You do what is best for your family I'll do what is best for my. No judging here!

I'm bored here at work.... We just started watching the show Lost... Yes, my son is named Desmond, but I never saw the whole show only up to season 3... well we are now getting into stuff I never seen before and I'm trying to find a way to watch it on my phone or computer here at work... ooops that was a FFC... I think that if you have down time at work... they should let you leave and you still get paid... or is that unemployment from being laid off??

I want Ls birthday to be small and simple. Just DH and my immediate family and that is it. Oh and no gifts...she has way too many toys (grandparents bring toys often when they see her) and feel that if I ask for money towards her college fund it will be too tacky.

*gasp* I love ice in my milk! But I understand why you think it's gross, so does my husband lol I just hate drinking things if they are not ice cold, especially milk, otherwise I feel like it's spoiled. My milk never gets to the point where it's watery because I drink it right away
As for tuna, I don't eat a lot of it but I too prefer it fresh.

It is beyond annoying when people, strangers for the most part, try to tell you that you should be a SAHM instead of a working mom. I understand some people love being a SAHM mom and in a perfect world I would be SAHM and a working mom, but it doesn't work that way.
I met a nice lady on the plane yesterday and she was really sweet but then she got to asking me about whether I worked and blah blah and after I told her I did she was like "oh they grow up so fast take my advice be a SAHM mom if you can and then when she starts school, just work part time." I just nodded my head because I didn't want to be rude. But there is a reason I went to school for 5 years to get my degrees and why I plan on going back for more schooling...I want a career. Nothing against SAHM but it is not for me, I just wish other people would understand that.

I don't understand this craze with internet memes. I mean some of the punchlines are funny enough, but why do so many of them use these same doodles? Maybe I live under a rock. These are the ones I don't like:
I do, however, find most of the confession e-cards hilarious, such as this:
Oh, and unless it's super hot out, I don't use ice. Like PP, it hurts my teeth, and I don't mind room temperature water. But drinking hot water that's been in the car all day is where I draw the line, lol.

I am not crazy about ice as it gets in the way. If I have ice in my drink, I need a straw.
My u/o or maybe it's a fffc, I don't know, is that I don't get how/why people have such huge b-day parties for their lo. But maybe I just wonder that because my family has never been that close or had big get togethers. If I could get away with it I wouldn't have a party at all, just dinner with the family and cake. I don't like planning and organizing that sort of thing.

I just felt like that was what I was put on this earth to do. They thought I was crazy! I'm kinda bummed at the non-love for the siggy challenges. I didn't always participate, but I liked that there was the option and it was fun to see how different people interpreted the challenges. I also think it was kinda crummy to shoot them down when hepcats always put so much time and effort into organizing them.
