Seriously??!! (venting sorry)
I don't normally discuss my IF at work because honestly I just don't want to listen to everyone's advice. Well at lunch today I had to tell my work friends that I wouldn't be making it to our end of the school year dinner. I just simply said that I had a Dr appointment. (Tomorrow is the u/s to check for follies.) One of the ladies I eat lunch with yelled across the room, "Dr? Are you having a baby 'cause you've missed a lot lately?" Ugh! Seriously! Then a lady that I have actually talked to about my situation says, "Not yet, but we're hoping this time it works." So of course everyone starts with their advice...you know the usual...just relax, stop worrying and it will happen, when you quit trying that's what will work, you should adopt that's how Sherri got pregnant....on and on. I left in tears. God, sometimes I really just hate having to be around people.
Sorry....I needed to vent.

Sorry to hear Alisha!
How are things now? I've been lucky, in a way, that I haven't been given too much advice or talked to too many people about our TTC Troubles... The only advice I've heard is "get drunk and do it that way, seems to work for everyone else" ugh!

It just gets so tiring listening to everyone tell you how to get pregnant. If that worked, I wouldn't be in this situation, you know? Ugh. I'm "lucky" enough to work at a school where two women adopted and then got pregnant right after. So that's everyone's answer. Adopt, then you'll get a baby.
I always get emotional right before IUI because of my nerves. I know I shouldn't freak out, but I can only handle so much.

I'm so sorry. That is so incredibly frustrating. I feel as though Im getting closer and closer to telling people about our IF but stories like this remind me that I need to keep it a secret as long as I can. Its so hard to keep my mouth shut when ALL my coworker talks about is her pregnancy. I had to walk out of the office today when she was complaining about how much it's going to suck to have a winter baby! Ughhhhh!

So sorry! That sucks. Can't believe your other co-worker decided to chime in, this would have been the time for her to stay quiet or change the subject! It's so frustrating. Sometimes I wish people would just shut it! Hope your day gets better.

I have gotten to the point if it comes up somehow and people start on their advice I cut them off and say "I am in the care of a specialist because clearly none of those things have worked." And I walk away. By now I really do.not.care. how people see me or judge me regarding the matter. You shouldn't have poked around being super nosy with your questions to begin with!

Good grief, what is wrong with people? I would have slugged the lady who outed you ... or at the very least, let her know that was a serious violation and she totally violated your trust.
Every time I read a story like this, I am happy we haven't told anyone. I wouldn't be able to be nice/bite my tongue/stop de-friending people who made such asinine comments.
