Hi ladies!
My doc told me I only had to wait 1 cycle before TTC after my d&c. I was happy to see that AF arrived only 3 weeks after, so we could start TTC sooner than expected. That first period was relatively normal. I used an OPK which told me I o'd about 3 weeks ago. I took a pregnancy test a few days ago, which was negative. My past cycles were pretty regular, around 27 days. I'm on day 33 right now, and AF is still MIA. Has anyone else had a late 2nd cycle after d&c? I'll try another test in a few days. I would love it if I actually was pregnant, but I honestly don't feel like I am.
Thanks!
Re: 2nd cycle AF is late
Yeah--my post MC cycle(s) have been nothing like my pre MC ones. Mine are running longer. I agree that you should try and track BBT to get a better understanding of what is going on with your body. MCs can really do a number on your hormones and it can take awhile to get back on track.
I'm sorry for your loss. Welcome to the board. Be sure to check out the blog (top of the page)--it has lots of answers to some questions that I know I had when I first came over

I'm sorry for your loss.
Cycles can be very screwy after a loss. Pre-loss mine were 27-29 days. Now they're anywhere from 25-35 days, and that's nothing compared to some other after-loss ladies! Be patient and call your doctor if you reach 60 days without AF or a positive HPT.
Oh, and I highly recommend charting like many of these ladies have already said. It can really take the guess work out of a lot of this.
That GIF is priceless!
Thanks everyone! I didn't realize OPK's weren't completely accurate. Charting seemed intimidating to me before, but looks like that's what I need to do! Thanks again

I am literally laughing out loud at my desk right now! I can't stop watching it.
That's good news. Enjoy charting, it can be a very educational experience. OPK's are accurate at detecting the LH surge just prior to ovulation, but they don't tell you if your egg has left the basket. They're still a wonderful tool, just better when used with charting. Good luck!
If you do decide to chart, check out Fertility Friend which has great tutorials on how to do it and can produce a neat chart for you, helping to pinpoint ovulation.

Haha that is freakin awesome!!!
Charting isn't the worst thing in the world, but you will have to be disciplined enough to get up in the morning at the same time and take your temperature. If it really is too much to do, if you're having sex three times weekly, you'll hit the "fertile window" almost every time, you just won't know with great precision if and when you ovulated. Good luck with whatever you decide!
